Hi, how are you, I'm your beta's nightmare (Derek)

Rachelle while being smart, was also stupid at times. And this was one of those times. Tires squealing out of the driveway, she drove to where the Hales were staying and quickly got out of the car. She ran up the stairs and knocked on the door. She was antsy that was for sure, but she had reason to be. One she was disobeying her Alpha's rules, and two she was on another Alpha's doorstep. This could go either two ways, but she was hoping that Derek would see it her way and agree to help her. While it may have seemed that she really couldn't care about anyone else but herself, she really was just looking out for her sisters well being. She knocked again for good measure and waited.

When she saw the door opening, she immediately took a deep breath. "Hi, I know you don't know me, I'm Rachelle Bradshaw, I live here in town. And well I need your help with a teeny problem that involves one of your betas, and my little sister." she said it all pouring out like word vomit.

[Derek Hale]

Derek had been doing some exercise and cleaning in the house. He was such a neat freak despite the fact he old hale house looked like. This place was a home and he liked to keep it neat and would often find stuff littered all over the place. while the beta’s were at school it was nice to be able to sit back and relax during that time too and read a book, but as soon as school rang out it was back to loudness and messy and rowdiness. Derek often glared at them and sometimes even told them to clean up their messes. He hated finding a crusty old Doritos or something in the couch. He'd usually find like Isaac's scarfs in weird places and some tampons shoved in the couch things he didn't want to find as well...Love letters between Scott and Allison that made him want to throw up in his mouth.

The members of the pack were filtered all over the place most of them were in their rooms, but he hard a car coming and arched a brow. Wolf it smelled of wolf, but it wasn’t any of his wolves. He’d recognize their smell and growled and moments later footsteps could be heard, and a knock on the door. Was one of them expecting company? He hadn’t known. He hoped it wasn’t one of the Alpha pack members poking their head around here… but they smelled different from what he smelt so he walked over the door once to open it. He rolled his eyes. “ If you are selling something we’re not interested. Unless they are girl scout cookies then maybe we‘re interested. ” He stated before raising a brow and listening to the girl ramble off who she is and why she was here..

Derek rolled his eyes and yelled in the house. “Which ever one of you are causing trouble with someone sister. You’re dead.. Here me.. Dead…” He stated in the house knowing very well they’d all hear him.. He arched a brow at her as if waiting for her to explain more. “ So you come to me since they can’t work it out like civilized people? Derek had then noticed that their was a car and no one else in the drivers seat and looked at her. “Aren’t you a little young to be driving? Pehaps I should be calling whom ever you belong to.. To come get you.” He knew she couldn’t be over sixteen she possibly looked like she was 12 to him.

“Does whoever you belong to know you are here?” He wanted to know who’s pack she was from she couldn’t be an omega could she? He knew more and more packs were filtering into Beacon Hills so she should belong to someone. He knew any reasonable alpha wouldn’t let their beta’s go stay off to meddle in affairs so this ones alpha must not know she is here and possibly doesn’t know that she had taken the car and how much trouble she’d be in if she got caught.

Rachelle listened to Derek as he yelled into the house. She waited until he was done and when he was it seemed to her that his focus was now on her age. She was young and she wasn't old enough to drive, but she didn't want Derek to call Tyler or her mother. She didn't want anyone from her pack knowing that she had come up here to talk about this. "No.. my alpha doesn't know that I've come here, and I'd rather keep it that way. I won't be any trouble, I'm just here as a warning. I ran into Lilith a few weeks back at the diner in town. At first I thought it was odd that she was just sitting there alone, so I decided that it would be best for me to join her, her being so young and all." she took another breath in.

She didn't know how she would explain all of this to him. She didn't know if he would help her or rebuke her or even how he would react. Rachelle looked at him. "It was then that I had noticed something familiar. She has this key chain, a picture, and I knew him. Lilith's father, was with my mother. My sister is his daughter. Which makes her, Lilith's half sister. I know that this is a lot to process. I only just uncovered the truth recently, and I don't think it is wise for them to meet. My sister already hate's her father as it is, for walking out on her, and if she found out about this, I fear that she wouldn't ever forgive him."

Rachelle looked back at her feet, crossing her arms. It was no doubt obvious that she had given everything thought. Now all that she had to do was wait and see what Derek would do. If he would listen to her, or rebuke her like Isaac had. She really was trying to look out for her sister and the young beta.

Derek didn’t want his beta’s causing issues they all had enough on their plate as is and for more issues to be added on top of those they just didn’t next that extra stress. He was focused on her age and the car in the driveway. He did not think she should be driving and she better bet her bottom dollar she wouldn’t be driving it home either. He wasn’t going to be responsible for an under age girl driving away from his place getting into an accident and dying or anything of the sorts and she of course tried to distract him from the fact she was under age and Derek rolled his eyes thinking ‘kids these days’. She explained how her pack doesn’t know she is here and how she wanted to keep that a secret. Derek shook his head and snorted she had a lot to learn that was for sure… “ If that were the case you should have walked…. “ he replied. She explained how she didn’t want any trouble and how she just came here with a warning and that made Derek shake his head with a pfft a warning like the beta’s can’t work out their own problems? It was something he always thought they should try to do, but if it really got bad to seek him out and he’d try to fix it, but he hadn’t a clue what this girl was on about and which beta is causing her to come here with a warning.

He then was told she ran into Lilith and thought shit she must have wolfed out in front of everyone again and that made him frown some. Derek listened as she spoke and how she wanted to join Lilith her being young and all and the girl hadn’t understood why she was sat there alone, but Derek thought maybe she wanted some alone time and how she maybe there trying to get homework done and didn’t see the big deal. Did Lilith not want her company or something he wondered and if that was the case maybe she was being smart and going by the stranger danger things they are taught in school. The girl continued to speak letting her story known and how her sister is Lilith’s sister and how they share the same father, and that made him arch a brow. It really was a lot to take in. Lilith’s father had another child out there in the world and was the mother of this child also Lilith’s mother or was she someone new. It was probably the case that she was someone elses daughter, but the sisters would be half siblings. Derek knew this was like a ticking time bomb waiting to blow up and the longer it festered then the messier it would become later in life and with them living so close it is bound to happen and they will meet so the way Derek seen it they should meet family is family and perhaps they’d both hate their father for the things that have happened, but would eventually grow and come to an understanding.

Derek had this oh this is my problem because? Look too him. He really didn't care to get in the middle of such affairs, but maybe it's something he had to do who knows. She crossed her arms in what seemed like stubborn manor, “Well the way that I see it I think I should speak with your mother and your alpha I think they should have a say in this discovery as well. She may hate her father for leaving, but he had to have left your mother for a reason so I think I should see her side of the story and see if she knew about Lilith. Perhaps this is why they were here to make amends and the longer the secret festers the more the fall out will become. Things will get heated fast and if your sister knew you known the whole time do you really think she will cry on your shoulder? She is going to hate your guts with a passion keeping such a thing from her. I think you are just afraid of being replaced so instead of coming to me maybe you should put on your big girl panties and talk to your mother about this. I myself think they should meet and get the little drama filled I hate you’s out of the way.” Derek gave her his two cents and now he thinks he should indeed speak with her mother and Alpha about this. Perhaps them meeting is in everyone's best interest. He isn't going to try to purposely making Lilith avoid certain people. They are bound to cross paths so may as well cross the bridge now then later on. He had enough stuff to deal with as is.. so now is good..

Rach calmly listened to Derek as he told her her worst nightmare. He not only wanted the two girls to meet, he also wanted to talk to her mother. She didn't know how to deflect this, but she didn't want it happening. Then Derek said something that almost felt like a slap to her face. Was he right? Was she really afraid of being replaced by a little girl? She shook her head almost angerly but then calmed down. This was not what she wanted to happen. Rach looked at Derek and bit her tongue to keep her snark down to a minimum. "This is me trying to figure out what to do, I honestly don't think that Tyler know's how much of a whore my mother is. I mean she couldn't keep it in her pants even a few months after I was born, and turns out the guy she cheated on with had the same problem." she shrugged her shoulders.

Anyone could read that this girl didn't have a very good relation with either of her parents. She didn't even really have one with her sister either. Plus she was selling herself short, why else would she have done all that stuff with Aiden, just because she felt that she owed him? "If you wanna meet them by all means I won't stop you from meeting them, and maybe you're right, maybe I'll lose Aurora in the end, but I've already lost her so I'm not to worried about that. I'm more worried about her sanity. She tends to go a little cray cray if you get my meaning. But if you want Lilith opened to that, I'm sure my family wouldn't mind taking her off of your hands." she said

Now she was just using her bitterness to fuel her. But then again, she forgot who she was talking to. And if she pissed him off like she had Isaac, then it was most likely all over for her. Rachelle shrugged her shoulders and looked back at her car. It really wasn't hers, but she got away with driving it sometimes. As long as Taylor kept her big mouth shut, she'd be in the clear. "Oh, and walking here from my house, it wasn't an option, they'd know something was up."

Derek obviously didn’t give her the answers she wanted and seemed to shake her head in anger, but as soon as it was there it was good again. He wondered what was crossing her mind, but he really wanted to get things cleared away quick. He had enough to deal with already. Alpha’s all around. Yeah… This problem seemed as if it were a cake walk. Derek seemed to huff with what she had to say about her mother it made him angry in a way despite how much the girl hated her mother she is still her mother… It made the wolf in him wants to snarl and rip out her throat for being so disrespectful to her mother. What would she do when she was gone? “Maybe he doesn’t maybe she has changed. If not you’d have more siblings to worry about then.” If her mother was a cheater and had cheated on Tyler, he’d know. He smell it on her and perhaps the girl’s mother was already honest with him about things in the past. Derek didn’t know, but he wanted to have words with them and soon.

Bitterness was something Derek knew well along with anger. It was what fueled him and she may say she has lost her sister already, but maybe she is just trying deflecting things and hiding the deep emotion associated with it buried beneath the surface. “Glad you won’t try and stop me… not that you could…” he said a smirk on his lips. “ I will have a chat with them with or without your blessing anyways. “What is this cray cray you are speaking of?” He arched a brow. Derek thought the girl may lose her sanity a bit, but who knows maybe she’d prove this girls thoughts wrong and accept it and be totally fine with another sister who could share her love and compassion with. When one sister is mad and off brooding, she would have another to talk with. Derek thought it would be nice if Lilith had family around, and if one day she wanted to go live with them over him that be on her, but the way this girls spoke about the family taking her off his hands and the bitterness that came with it made him snarl and growl at the girl.

There would indeed be no taking her off his hands unless the girl wants it and the family was nice to her if they were crude and likely to kill her then hell no she was staying here end of story. If he had found out they hurt her in anyway they’d have hell to pay… Her father trusted her with him and when the time comes, he’d do what is best for her. Derek told her she should have walked if she didn’t want them knowing and wanted to out right laugh at the girl before him. Derek arched a brow “” oh really.” Moreover, didn’t say it, but though oh yeah like they wouldn’t tell as is. His smell the smell his pack gave off would seep within her clothes and the cars upholstery as well as the smell of the earth wood creep with in the tires. If her alpha had, good senses he could probably notice them things. “ So they know you take the car then?” He asked going back to the car situation. Maybe he shouldn’t care if she gets caught, but her alpha should. He’d be sure to have words with them about that as well.

Rachelle almost spluttered. This Alpha just wasn't understanding. She didn't know what else she could do to get him to understand that Lilith meeting her sister just wasn't a great idea. " You don't understand Aurora like I do. She isn't ready to meet someone who was obviously loved more then she was by her father. I'm not stupid, I've done research into this whole sitaution before I brought it up. My mother cheated on my father with Lilith and Aurora's father. Theres nothing more to be said about it." she said.

Suddenly it seemed like she had hit a nerve of his as he snarled at her. Rachelle cast her eyes downward, so it may have been a bit rude to say that they'd take Lilith off of his hands, but it was true. Then he asked her if her parents knew that she took the car. "No..Taylors covering my ass for me while I'm up here talking to you. She owes me anyways." she said. The dislike of Taylor was obvious. Then again no one in her family liked her because she was constantly stealing things. The only reason she got away with it was because she was Tyler's stupid sister.

When he said that he'd talk to her parents with or without her consent she shrugged. "Go for it. I'm used to being boarded up in the house anyways. But I seriously wouldn't tell them about her unless you want them kidnapping her." she said in all honesty. There was no telling what Tyler would do, or more so what her mother would do if she heard that her lover had also had another child. Her mother wasn't completely sane in her head after all, at least not in Rachelle's eyes.

Derek really had thought the two meeting would be good get the drama out of the way because the whole finding out later could indeed be disastrous more so then now the older they get. She didn’t see his reason and he didn’t see her reason so he would indeed try to talk to her mother and Alpha sometime about said thing. Family is family. He knew that sometimes family was dangerous. Look at his uncle. He had to of course do recon and see how these people are. He really did think the girl before him was just afraid of losing her sister. Does she really know how her sister would react?

The girl could surprise them. Hell Beacon Hills has always been Hale territory so other packs coming here should know what they are getting into around here. Being what they are not everyone mates for life and it sounds like her mother wasn’t really too faithful but doesn’t mean Derek believes all the things that this young teen says about her mother. Erica always says it is a teens right to hate their parents for ruining their lives or so she says. He listens to her ramble on about it. He never had that issue. He loved his mother… Sure, she could embarrass the pants off him, but she was still his mother and wolves always do seem closer then actual human families do.

She had said she did research on this? “ And what are your sources of said research?” His brows quirked. Did she have proof of all the accusations? If her mother was a cheat then perhaps that is why Lilith’s father left. It isn’t a crime to be happy. Being on the run doesn’t mean they were happy or she was loved more either… for all Derek knew Lilith’s father could have sent letters and the mother denied them and burned them in the trash. Women were complicated and do so things sometimes he himself just doesn’t understand. She really was striking nerves left and right he could feel a headache coming on and it was very hard for wolves to get them… stupid complicated situations being more complicated then they need to be.

She had told him someone was covering for her while she was here… he raised another brow at that. He himself just didn’t think she’d be driving, hale territory will indeed be smelt all over the car, and if her alpha didn’t smell it. It would be amazing. He had said he was going to talk to her parents and he would, but what she said next made him growl. “If they try it they will be dead! You don’t piss off the Hales. I will personally rip out their throats and eat them for Sunday dinner.” his blood was pumping now. Hell if they kidnapped her they'd have more then just him to deal with they'd have the whole pack or most of them at least.

Could it be true or was she just playing on his nerves again since moments earlier she had stuck a cord by saying they’d take Lilith off his hands. If Lilith wanted to go with family he couldn’t blame her… they are the closest thing she has left to her father, but if it wasn’t safe for her there… No way in hell would Derek let her go with them. “I am still talking to them about matters and hopefully we can come to terms with things like civilized beings.” he was putting his foot down perhaps he wouldn’t mention Lilith straight away would just talk to her about Lilith’s father and get the woman’s take and story on him before telling her that he is dead and that the hunters got him. ” Anything else you wish to add or are we done here?” he huffed. He had about 200 push-ups to do about right now and take out some of his aggression he doesn’t want to snap at one of the other beta’s.

Rachelle's eyes grew wide when he asked her about the research that she had done, she didn't really want to admit to anyone that she had been skulking around her mothers belongings, not to mention that they had pictures taking together and shit. She shook her head and looked at him with her eyes. "I looked around the house, found pictures of the same man holding my sister, and ones of them kissing. I'm not stupid, I knew what he looked like to, You have to remember that I spent a lot of my childhood with my mother." she said then looked elsewhere again. When he snapped that they wouldn't dare try to kidnap Lilith, she couldn't help but sigh. Rachelle had only come here to help Lilith out, not even try to put her in dangers ways. She actually liked the spunky lil thing.

When he asked if she was done she shrugged her shoulders. There wasn't much more she could say to get him to change his mind. She herself knew when a alpha made their mind up, it was useless to try and change it. "Yes,I'm done." she said and then started to turn around. Why didn't people understand that she wasn't really an evil bitch? That she just used that as a wall so that people wouldn't hurt her again. Tears silently rolled down her cheeks. She really had no idea what was going to happen now. But she did know one thing, she would protect that little girl if it meant going against her alpha.

Rachelle quickly wiped them away, gave a look over her shoulder as she was getting into the car. She wondered how this hale was at dating, if he even knew what fun was. It seemed to her that all he was good at was being a grouchy middle aged man. Rachelle then ducked into the car and started the engine up. She wasn't sure if he was going to stop her or not, but she had to do what she had to do.

He asked her what sort of research she did to know this man was indeed the father of her sister and what not. Did she have proof or evidence? Derek did know secrets hurt more when they come out worse then telling the truth to begin with so He really didn’t think hiding this secret from Lilith and her sister was indeed a wise choose. Maybe he should speak with some of the other Beta’s and get their take on things. The way he seen it family is family and perhaps they could all get along maybe? He didn’t know, but knew things could be disastrous if they discover said secrets on their own. Derek still wanted to meet with her Alpha and her mother.

“You may have spent a lot of time with your mother as a child, but you know what they says it’s not good to assume. Looks after all could be deceiving and there maybe more to the story.” It was true he knew very well that looks could be deceiving. He thought Kate was a nice girl and loved him, but he was wrong she was the devil, the snake in the foxhole or wolves den to take them all out. He was her job and he paid for it daily. So she shouldn’t assume why her mother and Lilith’s father were no longer together…

There had to be reasons ones that could not appear to the girl before him. He was speaking the truth after all since he knew things from experience first hand. Therefore, she could take it as she pleases. He didn’t care. All he cared about is Lilith’s safety and keeping it from them would do more harm then good. He asked her if she was done and she said that she was good. He didn’t want to listen anymore about how they had to keep this from both sisters. It was silly. His mother would probably do the same thing and talk to the alpha in question and his lady friend the girl’s mother. At least he hoped that is what his mother would do. How he wished he could ask both Laura and his mother what they’d have done.

The girl had turned to leave and he watched her leave. He really couldn’t understand whys he wanted to keep this from her sister. She may indeed love that she has another sibling from her father so she could learn more about him. Derek thought the girl was afraid to lose her sister. He wouldn’t let the family kidnap or hurt Lilith. Beacon Hills was Hale territory first and if the Alpha were stupid enough to dick with them, it would be his downfall. It was bad enough they had this alpha pack to deal with. She had gotten in the car. He wasn’t going to stop her since it was a waste of his breath and he would just have to hope she wouldn’t get herself into trouble. He’d make sure to talk to her alpha about that maybe. If he ever caught, his beta’s doing said thing they would be begging for mercy.

He’d have words with the sheriff maybe and have them locked up for a day or something. He didn’t know. He waited for her to leave before slipping into the house to think about these things she said.
