It's only half past the point of no return
The tip of the iceberg.
The tip of the iceberg.
Stiles would have been unnerved by how closely Isaac was paying attention to him, if he wasn’t used to it from just about every other werewolf he encountered. Seriously, they all treated him as though he were some odd creature that just burrowed out of the ground in front of them and asked: How ya doin’? The human shook his head with a slight smile. He kinda understood why though. It wasn’t much of a surprise that he smelled constantly of werewolf and hunter. Well, not so much hunter lately because Allison hadn’t been hanging around with Scott lately, but still. He smelled like Scott the most, because like any best friends they tended to roughhouse now and then.
Not to mention due to Derek’s weird penchant for issuing death threats to him, not to mention the fact that he liked getting physical while making sure those threats were believable, he smelled like the alpha too. But whatever, he didn’t care. It wasn’t like he could smell it, so he was without a care as far as that went. when he brought up the topic of his dad, however, he wasn’t thinking, as usual, forgetting that Isaac had in fact met him, on some not so good terms, even though he’d been exonerated, Stiles knew his dad wasn’t a big fan of any of the pack, given a good majority of them, with the exception of Scott, had past issues with the law.
Well, too late to pull his words back."He must work a lot to fall asleep during movies...."Isaac said, and Stiles shrugged, grinning. ”Sometimes it’s because of that, but more often than not he picks a really, really boring movie, and always seems to act surprised when he realizes that he fell asleep to it.” He explained, chuckling."It can't be too bad."He said, and the human shook his head, agreeing. ”It really isn’t, but he doesn’t appreciate good quality movies like us teenagers do.” He said, grinning.
It seemed like not only were werewolves more the solitary type, but because of that, they had no concept of social interaction at all. Literally. It was like they’d been raised in a box all their life. Stiles winced. Okay, that was too close to the truth. Thank goodness he hadn’t said that out loud."I never really have anything going on so if you get bored...."His voice trailed off as he shrugged."I'm not hard to find."He added, and Stiles grinned.
”Dude, I know. You all hide away in that old abandoned train car. Would it hurt to just get one large apartment with multiple bedrooms and stay there? Or a nice quaint house with a big basement?” He asked, looking down the aisles. He grabbed a couple things here and there, knowing he actually had quite a bit left, good thing he wasn’t worried about money at the moment, but then again, he either mooched off of Scott when it came to meals, or lived off junk food."Okay...."Isaac said and Stiles sighed, shaking his head. Poor kid. He was literally like a lost puppy. He headed off and grabbed some chip dip, coming back to find that he had indeed taken his words to truth, and for that Stiles couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if he praised the kid. Nah, he’d live without it. Dumping the stuff into the cart, he indicated that Isaac should too, and then turned down towards the end of the aisle, where the drinks were."I heard movies involve soda...."He said, and Stiles couldn’t help but feel sad that the kid had that look about him, a kid on Christmas morning look, and he wondered just how much the werewolf had to endure under his father’s brand of control. He nodded instead, and grinned. ”Must have read my mind. Grab something, it’s two for the price of one on this stuff.” He said, waving his hand to include all the larger party sized bottles of soda, he himself grabbing diet coke, since he really didn’t need any more energy. After that he waited for Isaac to finish up and then started for the cash register, glad that most of the stuff was on sale or had been marked down.
