This town was making her stir crazy, she did not understand how she was going to survive being here, especially if she could not learn to keep herself busy, then she had seen it. A bookstore, she always loved to read, so maybe she could purchase a few books to tide her over and maybe read inside the store in her own corner. Yeah, that sounded like something she could do. After all, books were composed of stories that were inspired by life and who did not want to drift into another world? She would be staying away from the myths about Sirens though, those pissed her off, considering they got it all wrong and portrayed Sirens as monsters, which they were in a way, but only if they were alone without anyone to care for in the world.
Although she did like to read other myths, vampires, werewolves, witches, gods and goddesses. Hell, she loved them all, she liked reading about the weird things, also she had a weird thing for romance novels. Hey, she couldn’t have a romance herself, so romance novels was the closest to it that she was getting! Besides, who did not love Romance novels? They were cheesy, yes, but sometimes a girl could dream, she knew no male was perfect though, although she doubted that anyone could love her like her father loved her mother. So she rather avoid love altogether, avoid crushes and avoid flirting at times, she did not want to die, she did not want someone else messing with her life and deciding if she died from a broken heart or not. No, she was making that choice to be celibate and to not fall in love, she was not going to allow her life to be put in someone else’s hands.
She drifted into the store, moving along the aisles of books, she was indeed in heaven right now, well, it would be heaven if there was music as well. Family, Friends, Music and Books, that was all she needed, everything else was just peachy in her mind. A soft sigh escaped her, as she brushed her hair from her eyes, her tongue peeked out, a silver stud in her tongue flashed, it was silver and she brushed her tongue along her bottom lip slightly, as she read the spines of the various books, seeing what pulled at her and what did not. Those bright blue eyes sparkled softly, as she stopped on a book about Sirens anyway, she frowned a bit, ”Such bullshit…” She huffed a bit, she hated what people wrote about what she was, she truly did, they never got it right.
