Bump in the night(Isaac, Derek/Open)

Lilith ran through the woods at full speed, the wind in her hair felt great. She was glad to get out of the house for once, but then again she hadn't really even asked permission, she just ran out the door before either of the big ones could stop her. But she was pretty sure that they were on her tail, and if not that the would be soon. She thought that she may as well have some fun before Derek listened to the voicemail that was left from her school. It wasn't that she wanted to be a jerk, it was that she was just tired of people picking on her. Lilith froze because she heard something and it didn't smell like Isaac or Derek. Before she knew what was happening she was being tackled to the ground. She looked up at whatever it was and snarled, but the also snarled and brought their claw up. She cringed in fear.

"Help..." she managed to squeak out. She started to whimper. When it came to her phasing, she mostly phased out of fear or anger, but she tried her hardest to control her body, because if this was a hunter, or something else, she could die. "Derek!!!" she screamed as the claw came into contact with her face.

Day by day Derek‘s pack seemed to be growing in numbers and some of the wolves were easier to train then others. He had a diverse group that was for sure, and sometimes it wasn‘t easy to keep them all in check and he surely wasn‘t looking forward to the next full moon. He had to chain a lot of them up since not all had control not like Isaac seemed to have. . He had been building a room in the new place to help contain them all under the full moons.

He worried about them getting out and killing people or worse killing each other. Sure if any of them died he could always make more werewolves, but he didn’t want any of them to die and he was trying to train them all as fast as he could, but it was hard. Being the Alpha surely wasn’t easy. It brought on lots of responsibilities‘… now besides being responsible for teens he was responsible for two ten year olds who drove him batty.

He really didn’t know how his parents had done it when they were that little. How’d they sleep? How’d they deal with all the challenges that were presented to them with things coming after them? He didn’t remember there being this much drama between werewolves and other packs as there was today.  Half the time Derek thinks he is drowning and in over his head. He hoped that he could keep them all safe… but he knows he can’t be everywhere at once and he will eventually fail to protect one of them… he has that feeling in his bones.

Lately when he sleeps he has been dreaming about the full moon and them ripping each other to pieces this is why he had to get the room to chain them all up done. He wanted to make sure they couldn’t escape. He was lucky he had all this insurance money from what has happened to his family over the years and what  Laura set aside for him if anything had happened to her he had been her beneficiary. He misses her daily and she seemed to know what to do. She would have known how to handle these kids and keep them safe.

He was working in the room when Lilith seemed to slip outside. He didn’t mind them being outside in the day light, but they were told to stay in for their own safety after dark. It wasn’t till he heard screaming for him coming from the distance. Somewhere in the woods, and he dropped what he was doing and took off in a run out the door and was there in no time flat. He had changed into a wolf in a blink of an eye his hair growing and eyes flashing red, growling at whatever ever attacked her and it took off whimpering, and he glared pulling her to her feet. “What do you think you are doing?  Didn’t I tell you not to leave the house after dark?”  He scolded.  

He couldn’t tell who attacked her, but it was probably some random omega or another packs beta trying to cause a little trouble, but as soon as he got there it scampered off.


Notes: I figured that Lil and Piers probably became part of the pack after they had already moved and stuff out of that train car. That train car def wouldn’t have been able to host all of them. So I still have some threads I got to back date  like them moving so perhaps maybe this thread would take place in the next month on site which would be October if that’s cool with the both of you?

Lil looked at her feet, not really sure what to say. " I..I don't know..I..I just wanted to..to have some fun?" she asked. She didn't know if she was going to get in trouble or not. She didn't know how this worked. It wasn't that long ago that her father had died. But even so, she knew better then to just take off like she had. "I'm..I'm sorry." she said whimpering and looking further at the floor. "Can't we just let this go? I mean its not like anything horrible happened? I didn't get really hurt.." Lil scuffed her feet along the ground. "Isaac would agree with me I'm sure..why don't we ask him huh?"

Derek was pissed off that she’d slipped on passed them all and out of the house when he has repeatedly told the little ones NOT to go out after dark. Sure, the daytime could still be as deadly, but more so at night. He didn’t know why he’d even be entrusted with a kid when his pack member had died. What did he know about raising a kid? It really did make him wish Laura were here. She defiantly would have been better at this then he is. He was angry and snippy, but it was only because he was trying to protect her. He felt that it was within his right to scold her. It was what his own mother would have done if he disobeyed a direct order. Even worse if it were a direct order from his Alpha. She was lucky she was just getting off with a verbal scolding.

She had told him that she just wanted to have some fun. Oh yes here came his sarcasm again. “Oh that that looked likes loads of fun.” He told her. Getting her face scratched off. Is this what they are calling fun these days? She simpered that she was sorry, but would that stop her from doing this again? Was he going to have to install nanny cams all over the house next? He mentally wanted to face palm himself and wondered how long it would be before one of these kids turned up dead. Derek didn’t know how she should be punished, but letting it go? He didn’t know if he should and she also mentioned that she didn’t get hurt.. . She said Isaac would agree with her?

“ You nearly got your face scratched off how is that you didn’t get hurt? Your lucky that it healed. If it was from an alpha you wouldn’t be saying that right now. It takes longer to heal and there is a pack of them out there that would love to get their claws in you. SO you don’t leave the house after dark do you understand me.” he said once again. He was clearly not amused at all. His thought trailed back to Isaac thinking it was okay for her to go outside and nearly got her face scratched off.

“ What if I didn’t save you huh? What if I was out? You’d be a little Lilith steak for whomever’s wolf that was. I don‘t think Isaac would agree with you putting your life in danger.” If he did think it was okay then Derek maybe just have to smack him upside the head and remind him again about how dangerous the alpha pack is. He of all people should know how dangerous they are. He should also know how dangerous the hunters are. He couldn’t really be okay with her being out here on her own… Isaac himself could be out here on his own. He was older. He can take care of himself. Just like all the other older ones could as well, but even they are no match against the alpha’s alone.

“ In the house now!” He said firmly and he was doing this for her own good. If she wanted to be outside she could get one of the others to come out here with her.

Lilith looked up as he scolded her more. She wanted nothing more then to roll her eyes but she held that back and listened to him, what he was saying rang truth. If it had been an Alpha, her face would have been shredded or she would have been dead. When he said that she wasn't to come outside at night she simply nodded her head and kept quiet, she knew better then to speak out of turn. Then finally she was told to get into the house. Lil ran up to the house, tears running down her cheeks hot. Before she entered however she turned and looked back at Derek. " You'll never replace him..." she whispered. Then she walked into the house and quickly into her corner of the den. She pulled the cover up and didn't look at anyone, not even Isaac. When she felt someone tap her she snapped " Touch me again and I'll bite your damn hand off got it?" She was trying to hide her emotions, trying to hide the fact that she missed her father, but she wasn't sure if she was doing a good job of it or not.

Isaac had had yet another rough night. He had managed to keep himself in bed though, instead of rush out of the loft like usual. He tended to just up and leave, go for a run, go to the park, the club, anywhere where he could not think and just focus on anything but his nightmares.

He had made a nice caccoon of blankets in the corner of his bed so he could watch for movement during the night. After a bit of time, he had dozed back off. He had worn himself out over the last couple weeks that he actually slept in. It was actually unusual for him, but his body was just so exhausted.

It was weird waking up to an empty house. It made him shake as he just waited for someone to jump out and yell "boo". However, no one did. He was completely alone. Sure, he could still smell the others as he made his way around. But he couldn't hear a thing. And that one thought made him actually feel a little nervous. He had become accustomed to all the noise, being constantly surrounded by pack. He didn't like being alone.

The teen returned back to his room for a blanket before shuffling back to the living room. He settled into the quietness of the house, trying to will noise to bring it back to life. However, he quickly got his wish as Lilith came crashing into the house. He could feel the waves of anger rolling off her as she stormed into the room.

He felt like the only person who would dare chase after the pup, and he did just that. His movement was light and quiet as he moved closer, tapping her gently. He didn't let her snapping get the best of him. Sure, he flinched and looked like someone slapped him. But the expression disappeared quickly and the teen didn't dare move away. "Come on, Lil. What happened? Derek giving you a hard time?" It seemed like the younger members and Derek just didn't mix. If Piers was anything to go by, it'd be a while before Derek and kids would make a good match.

Lilith peeked out at Isaac and simply nodded her head. "I may have disobeyed orders and have gone outside for a little bit of fun but I got attacked and he's all in a huff and being a prick and trying to act like my dad, which he'll never be, no one will ever be my dad." That said she pulled the cover back over her head and sulked again. "I didn't mean to snap at you, I thought it was Piers at his stupid games again, and I'm not up to It right now. Issy, do you think you can talk Der out of grounding me or whatever he's going to do..." she whimpered from under her cover. Her tears were now flooding her eyes and she was shaking. Elsie, her puppy, came bounding in and over to her, almost as if she knew something was wrong, and jumped into her lap and snuggled into her. "I kinda told him that you would agree with me and not...not him."

[Derek Hale]

Derek had snapped and let into Lilith. He didn’t know how to deal with her or the other little one, but his words had spoke the truth he as being a hard ass on them, but it is only because he is trying to protect them and he can’t do that if they don’t listen to him. If they don’t listen, they will indeed end up dead and the Alpha’s are dangerous. He was right with what he had said to her and he hoped that she’d understand that. He had told her to go back to the house and he watched her go off and she snapped back at him in a whisper, but he still heard what she had said that he’d never replace him.

He knew what she had meant that she’d never replace her father and he wasn’t trying to replace her father he could never ever replace the man, but hell he had to keep her safe other wise she’d end up like her father. They got her father alone and killed him and they could do the same to her so she had to see why he was telling her these things eventually right? It had to sink in. He sighed after she had left and went in. He stayed out side for a bit himself to cool off. It was probably best that he cools off other wise he may just snap at her again. Perhaps he should go out and get more supplies. Go shopping something!

For now, he was walking the perimeter around the house just to make sure there wasn’t any more trouble lurking about. He wanted to get an alarm system in the place sometime to make sure that if an intruder comes near and alarm will sound off. He walked around and listened in still to see what was going on in the house. Cooling off in the nights are was good. It was soothing in the way and he really did wish he could ask his sister what he was supposed to do? He really hadn‘t a clue on what to do. So for now he could just listen in and walk it off.

Notes :: Like i said feel free to skip moi for a bit. I am sure he'll need some cooling off time and so doesn't even know HOW he could punish her...

Isaac wouldn't like to admit that the quiet morning was not what he wanted. He was so used to fighting, arguing, loud voices. It was unsettling. He was waiting to get yelled at by the demon who was supposedly dead. Sometimes he would forget that when things were quiet.

Of course, the quiet ended when Lilith came into the house. He wasn't bothered by it in the least. He was used to seeing people distressed. They aided him and he felt a need to aid them. It went beyond them being packmates. They were a family. He didn't like seeing people hurt and felt like he had to protect them. He knew that they would protect him.

He listened to the words that came forth. She disobeyed orders? He wanted to sigh. There was nothing bad about that. She was a child, after all. Kids disobeyed all the time. He awkwardly reached out and wrapped his arms around the younger werewolf. He tugged her close and rested his cheek atop her head. It was the way he knew how to comfort someone.

"I'm sure he's not mad at you, Lil. Derek... he wants to protect us. If something were to happen to any of us... I'm sure he'd be upset that he couldn't help us." He was sure Derek was just panicking. "But, don't worry. I'll talk to him. Okay?" His voice was gentle and small. He wasn't really good at this gentle thing. He was always afraid he would sound as guarded as he felt, especially when Lilith had told him what she had yelled at Derek.

"That I would agree no one will ever be your dad?" Isaac began to chew on his bottom lip. "Derek isn't trying to be your father, Lil. He's trying to be a good Alpha. He's trying to protect his pack." Derek was rough with words, but Isaac had never really thought much about it. He was used to worse words. He was able to read through Derek's words and actions. Of course, it had come from living with his own father.

"Derek is just trying to protect you, Lilith. He can be bad at saying it. There are hunters and other creatures out there that will kill us in a heartbeat. I think Derek worries that he won't be able to protect us." Especially with the threat of the Alpha pack looming. He was sure Derek meant well, but was going about it the wrong way.

All of a sudden her fear and doubt melted, she was safe in Isaac's arms, and Derek wasn't to bad. "I know he's trying to protect us, but I just went out to have some fun, I didn't know I was going to be attacked. You think that it was easy for me? I felt like I was going to die right then and there, that I was to meet the same fate that my father did. I get why he's angry with me, I do...I just don't want to be the one upsetting everyone. And lets face it, that's all I've been doing since I've gotten here. I've brought along death and everyone hates me...I hate me.." she said in a small voice. "I know he's right to be mad..my dad would have been too..especially since I disobeyed orders.." she whispered. "But I'm tired of being cooped up..and I haven't phased in since god knows when..." she said.." I want to run..to feel the wind.."
