Work had been good it kept her mind off many things, but some things couldn’t help, but dance threw her mind. Like what happened to her friends and family Moreover, her fiancée it still hit her hard. She listened to a lot of chatter threw out the sports shop about strange attacks and what not, and wrote down everything she heard and planned to check it out later. She wasn’t the most experienced hunter, but hey, she wanted to give it a go and try to find out what happened to her friends and fiancée she couldn’t lose any more people in her life. She has suffered enough these past couple of years and she hoped life would get better. One of her friends told her she should get back on the horse and date, but for her it was too soon. She wasn’t ready. She just couldn’t let go. It was one reason why she still wore the promise ring he had bought her, and still wore the promise ring he had worn on a necklace she liked to keep the cherished memories close and vowed she’d find out what happened even if it kills her too.
It was almost dark when she left work, strolling to her car there was a chill in the air, it made her wrinkle her nose a little before opening the door to the car sliding in and plopping her notebook on the passenger side of the car. Starting her car it she purred like a kitten. She patted the dashboard. “Good Baby.” she cooed to her car yes it was like a baby to her it was one of the only things she had left from her old life. She is on a new journey called life, she drove down the highway trying to get home and she was a few miles onto the highway the engine started to sputter. “Not now… please not now?” she had told the car. She didn’t want to get caught on the highway… The engine began to over heat and smoke was coming from under the hood. “Shit. “ she grumbled and pulled over, hearing a pop sound… Not knowing what it was… she knew that she would just have to let the engine cool off and try to get some fluids into it. She slid out of the car to investigate and going around the back, she noticed her tire popped. “Seriously?” she mumbled to herself… and muttered them words one should never mumble. “Could this day get any worse? " said under her breath popping the trunk.
Looking in the trunk, she looked for her spare and found it, but she had no Jack. “ SON OF A _____________” she yelled slamming the trunk down and pounding on it. Wondering where the jack went. Someone was out to get her. Her life has been one road of downward spirals and it didn’t seem like that would be changing soon. It wasn’t just a bad day she was having she has been having a bad few years… Did she break a mirror she did not know about and signed a sentence of seven years bad luck? She hoped to god she didn’t. This was just too horrible. She felt as if she was cursed or something, slipping into the drivers seat she rummaged around for her phone, but of course she had no signal so she’d have to wait for someone to come by eventually, she got out of the car and started walking around. Searching like a lunatic for a signal trying to catch a glimpse of one so she could call a tow, but with her bad luck it then started to pour. Running back to her car she jumped into it now she really had no choice but to wait and to see if someone pops on by. She put her hazard lights on hoping someone would stop and hoped to god that her battery wouldn’t die, because she sure as hell didn’t want to walk home in this shit.
So now, it was the waiting game…
