A blackness lives inside this place
An evil you'll learn to embrace
It will lure and calm your doubt
Eat you alive and spit you out

Emeric wanted to laugh at the reply. It wasn't just the Elders who held cryptic messages. Everyone used them. Everyone spoke in half truths, half answered questions. They answered everything truthfully, but also purposely omitted things so that the whole truth wouldn't be revealed. The inability to lie was what led fae to be well known for being tricksters. They couldn't lie, yes. But no one decided they had to give away everything to an answer.
Em rolled his eyes. "Then bring it back. History will always remain important. It helps determine the future. It's said that history repeats. What your parents taught you... You never know... It could become handy for one of your betas later in life." The fairy shrugged. He knew how important it was to learn. And, quite honestly, he was tired ot seeing so many different creatures running around like they owned the place. The fae Court he belonged to viewed the Hale pack as the main protectors. It was about time Derek realized it.
"Then you make them interested. Do the Alpha thing. Go all red eyed and snarly teeth." Emeric tried to imitate the fangs with his fingers, proving only to look foolish. "Honestly, you'd think an Alpha would have more control over their betas. Being a werewolf is part of them now. They should know everything there is, not just what they discover from trial and error." He placed his hands on his hips, giving Derek a leveled gaze. How did he expect this guy to run a pack that could protect anything. It was just some fluke that they hadn't been annialated yet.
A wicked grin graced the fae's lips at the question, his eyes flickering to green. "My, my. What a ridiculous question. I hate stupid questions. But, since you asked... I'm quite skilled in spell casting. I would have ended your little lizard problem without a problem." But would he have really done it? Not really. Like he wanted to get his hands dirty over something so meaningless. He would have simply taken out that one behind the creature.
Em groaned. "You make it so easy for me to pick on you. It's quite sad, Derek." It honestly was.
