Stiles could tell that the lanky teen was excited, and he was actually glad he’d invited Isaac over for movie night. Beat listening to his dad snore, or Scott mope over Allison any day. Not just that, but he did count himself as part of Derek’s pack, okay, more like an honorary member. An honorary member that few wanted there, but whatever. He still didn’t mind hanging out with Isaac, and he would pick him out of all the others. Especially over Erica. Seriously, she was sexy as all hell, but no way was he getting near her. She’d probably ruin his boys, and he did think that one day he might like to have children, and many, many good times that he needed his boys for. Even as he knew his thoughts had gone off on a tangent yet again, he brought himself back to the present as he popped the movie in and started it.

The human propped his feet up on an unoccupied part of the coffee table and leaned back, watching the promos and such, only half paying attention to them as he began pigging out on chips and whatnot. Once Isaac was done doing whatever he was doing, he settled onto the couch just about the same time Stiles did, and went for a drink when the human went for the chips. Stiles munched happily before offering up his suggestion, only to see the other’s ears go red with embarrassment. Whoops, didn’t mean to do that. Interesting.

"I think I may be able to piece things together. Thanks, though, Stiles." He answered after he tugged the drink away. "But, if I have questions... I'll ask." He said, and Stiles nodded, smiling. ”Sure man, I don’t mind either way, honest.” He said, even as he switched from chips to some soda, and then some of the candy, munching contentedly as he pressed play on the video and got comfortable, slouching down on the couch with a happy sigh, eyes glued to the TV as he watched the movie begin to progress, eager to know what was going to happen.

Isaac was excited. He had never done anything like this before. At least, not since he was little. He was sure that even though Stiles wasn't a werewolf, he could sense his excitement. He wondered if all werewolves could sense how excited he was. He was like a little kid on Christmas Day. He actually never felt like people accepted him and they were too nervous of him to approach him, to talk to him.

He didn't know how to portray his emotions to Stiles, so he settled on trying to be a good guest. He wouldn't talk, nor would he fall asleep. He was determined to stay awake, watch the entire movie, and do his best to understand every little bit. He wondered if that was even possible. However, he could try. Right?

The werewolf grinned Stiles as if saying 'thank you'. He then turned his attention to the movie as it began. He grabbed a couple chips. He was extremely curious about the movie, but figured it couldn't be horrible. He doubted that Stiles had that bad a movie taste. Nah, the human seemed like he would know the best movies to watch. Maybe he could convince Stiles to create a movie night. Invite Erica, Scott, Boyd, and Derek. Maybe Alison, Jackson, and Lydia. Jackson still gave him the creeps, Lydia still intimidated him, and Alison... Isaac would not volunteer to invite her.

His thoughts caused him to miss something and he silently yelled at himself for getting distracted. He sipped his soda quietly, determined to not miss anything and catch back up with what was going on.

Stiles was all too happy to have company, and not just that, but good company too. He lounged back on the couch, excited to see what happened in the third movie of the franchise, excited to see the special effects and CGI and such. He didn’t know how it could get much better, but since he’d liked the first better, hadn’t liked the second as much, he hoped the third would make up for the abysmal set off of the second. The teen ran a hand through his spiked hair, laying his head back against the cushion behind him, watching the TV with eager eyes, his hands moving constantly, though he was doing a bit better with keeping still, as he didn’t want to annoy Isaac, who would hear everything he was doing, whether he was looking or not.

He saw Isaac grin at him as though to say thank you, before he turned his attention to the movie, and grabbed a couple chips. Stiles was glad to see him eating, since he had paid for it, and he himself didn’t want to seem like an utter pig if he ate most of the food, especially since he had no real reason to eat all of it. Isaac at least, ate a ton of food all the time, like any other werewolf, sustaining his high metabolism and ensuring that he was kept in peak shape. The lanky human reached over to grab his soda, and he drank continually, his leg jittering nearly silently as he watched the rather action packed movie progress. After about the movie was over, he looked over at Isaac and grinned. ”What did you think? You up for another one?” He asked with an excited grin, loving how the third movie had ended.

Isaac was quite intent on watching the movie. It felt like ages since he last saw a movie. And this one was completely new to him. He was able to piece things together from what he had heard in the halls of the school. He almost wished he knew the first two movies in order to completely understand what was going on in the third movie. But... He still was able to follow as best as he could.

He smiled sheepishly at Stiles when the other asked him what he thought. "I liked it." He really did. You didn't need werewolf hearing to tell he wasn't lying. "I'm up for another... If you are." He would do what Stiles wanted to do. If Stiles wasn't up for another, then Isaac would be fine just going home.

He was trying to recall what else Stiles had gotten. He really only knew of super heroes. He had always liked super heroes as a kid and so tended to draw to those types of movies. Though he really would watch just about anything, he knew not to complain.

Stiles was glad that Isaac seemed to be enjoying the movie, since he had been worried about whether the werewolf would or not. Especially once he’d found out that he rarely watched movies at all. Most people who didn’t watch movies often were really picky about which ones they watched when they did. But the fact that Isaac wasn’t was great.

He saw the other’s sheepish smile when he asked him what he thought, and the lanky human grinned crookedly. "I liked it." He said, and Stiles was practically bouncing with happiness as he realized that the were wasn’t lying. ”That’s great man! I’m glad you liked it.” He said brightly, happiness practically radiating from his pores. It wasn’t a secret that he often got overwhelmingly happy over the smallest of things.

"I'm up for another... If you are." The other said, and Stiles grinned. ”Are you kidding? I’m always up for another movie.” He said with another grin as he hopped off the couch and knelt down in front of the DVD player, popping the one disk out and looking through the pile. ”Alright…so Iron Man 3 is down…now how about…the Avengers?” He asked with a glance over his shoulder as he popped the DVD in and hit play.

There were some days when Isaac felt off, felt like he just didn't fit anywhere. He couldn't live up to Derek's expectations. He struggled to be strong like Erica or as powerful as Boyd or even as compassionate as Scott. Heck he wasn't as intelligent as Stiles or Lydia or great at sports like Jackson. He didn't even have anything to offer the pack.

But then there were moments like this. Where those whom he admired still treated him like he fit. Like he belonged. He felt comfortable and welcomed, and it was a feeling that didn't even start to be known until he had belonged to the pack for a couple months. And now... Now he was sitting with Stiles, eating snacks, drinking soda, and watching movies.

He wondered what he did to be allowed such a privalege. If some higher being took pity and finally decided he decided something better, a better life.

"Sure! I always kept hearing kids at school talking about how great it is. I would catch the previews sometimes when they came on tv and it looked really good." Of course, he caught them when his dad wasn't aware he was watching television. Most of the time he saw the commercials when his dad fell asleep to some boring show that he didn't like anyway.

Happiness just rolled off the werewolf in waves. You didn't need to be bitten to know the teen was happy. He just seemed, and looked, like a little puppy who was given their first chew toy. Ecstatic about something new.

Stiles kind of wondered at whether or not he should be acting like Isaac is just a normal kid. But the thing was that he was. There wasn’t anything abnormal about him, werewolf aside, and so he really saw no reason to discriminate. To be honest he liked that Isaac wasn’t really one to offer complaints or criticisms, so he didn’t want to ruin the good thing they had going.

He wasn’t going to get all sappy, but seriously, he had so few friends, he took the ones offered. Besides, he liked that at least some members of the Hale pack didn’t despise him as much as Derek did. Lilith was a good kid, Peter was plain old scary, Boyd was…well, Boyd, Cora was scary as shit, Erica was a girl he was so not messing with, and honestly, everyone else he didn’t know so well, or they just didn’t want to know him.

"Sure! I always kept hearing kids at school talking about how great it is. I would catch the previews sometimes when they came on tv and it looked really good." He said, and Stiles grinned. ”Great! The Avengers it is! You are so gonna love it, I just know it.” He promised with an excited grin akin to a kid in a candy shop. Any opportunity to share his hero obsession was a good opportunity indeed. The fact that Isaac was so happy was just yet another bonus in this unexpected but totally welcome movie night. He popped the disc in and pressed play before flopping back down onto the couch and guzzling down another cup of soda, no doubt just to keep himself up, at least until he crashed.

Isaac was quite content. He had never once believed he would be sitting watching movies with anyone else, let alone someone he could possibly call a friend. He had never believed he would have friends before. After Matt... Isaac thought he was bad luck, that he would never have friends and gave up. And now... Now he had friends. He had a family that wanted him.

It had all come with a price, but he would do everything all over again. Stiles didn't treat him differently because he was a werewolf. He actually liked that Stiles still treated him normally. He had been treated differently for years. Being treated normally for once in his life... Isaac didn't want it to ever stop.

The werewolf couldn't help but nod at the words. He was sure he would love it. He liked superheroes enough that there wasn't any doubt about it. Besides, he could clearly remember the previews and always telling himself he would see the movie one day. And that day finally came and he was excited.

He was so excited as the movie started. He sat on the edge of his seat, nibbling on potato chips. Of course, all actions would cease several minutes into the movie when things started to get good.

Stiles was glad to see that Isaac had settled in and gotten comfortable. He’d been a bit worried at first, because the guy had seemed more keyed up and anxious about the whole thing more than anything, but he’d settled soon enough really, and now the atmosphere was laid back and easy. One that would be easy to speak and break the silence, but that sort of thing wasn’t really needed either, because it was comfortable.

He knew that not everyone treated Isaac, and not just Isaac but the rest of the younger, newer members of Derek’s pack, normally, like he did, so he always made it a point to treat all of them normally, show them that just because they weren’t fully human anymore didn’t mean that everything had to change and go out of whack.

The lanky werewolf nodded at his words, and Stiles beamed happily, glad to know that he wasn’t just the only one there that liked superheros, because if he had been, he didn’t have to begin to say how awkward that would be, especially for a guy like Isaac, who hadn’t had the privilege of going out to watch movies.

Stiles almost laughed as he saw that Isaac was on the edge of his seat, but he didn’t blame him, because the lanky human was right there on the edge of the seat with him, stealing some chips as well as he watched.

It was honestly weird for Isaac, to feel at home some place. He had never felt at home within his own skin. And yet, here he was, feeling comfortable around someone he had never thought he'd befriend. Sure, he once believed Stiles to be rather annoying, but that had a little bit to do with jealousy. Being friends erased that, erased his thoughts of Stiles being anything but a friend Isaac wanted to keep. That and he could never help but smirk when Stiles and Derek were in the same room together. He always loved watching them, it was better than watching a drama on television.

Isaac was interested in the movie. He loved it. One thing about his childhood that hadn't changed was his love of them. Sure, he wasn't as big a fan as before Matt stopped being friends with him. But they still had a special home in his heart. But this was all just personal mushy things that the werewolf was not about to share with the human. He had an image to uphold, although everyone kept trying to destroy it... even himself.

"You're Iron Man." Isaac decided out of the blue without batting an eyelash. Stiles was the human amongst werewolves. Tony was a human amongst superheroes. He knew about Hawkeye and Black Widow from the comic books, but was still excited to see them in the movies. But his mind wanted to concentrate more on figuring out who in their group would be which superhero.
