Rinae was not a normal girl, she knew that from an early age. She had a gift that few others knew about. She understood how dangerous it was if certain other people found out about her "gift". She was pretty ,uch on her own most of the time anyway. She had little need for any companionship, though she admitted it was nice at times. She did have her older sister, Madeline, whom she pretty much worshipped. Maddie was a lot stronger than Rin and much better at protecting herself. She hadn't seen her sister since she moved from New York to Beacon Hills,California. She realized how far away she was from home but she had needed a new start. As usual, she'd made a mess in the last place she had been. Rin was a nomad of sorts, she moved around from place to place. She was a master of many trades and she was good at manipulating people, usually men, to get what she wanted. Her parents were thieves, they'd gone to prison when she had been sixteen and she'd lived with her sister until her eighteenth birthday. After then, she moved around and never stayed any place for too long. She was always meeting new people, even if she didn't make many new friends. All she needed was herself and Maddie, that was enough for her.
Rin had started over, again, in a new town. Beacon Hills, California, wasn't much from what she could tell. Though she missed her sister, she knew that it was for the best that she get out of New York. She still talked to Maddie every day and she hoped she would see her soon. She figured she could get a job easily because she had a college degree, but it would be a tough road until then. She hadn't found a place to stay yet so she was just roaming around town for now. She had wandered into a nightclub and she figured she'd stop for a drink.
