Somewhere in the end we're all insane

To think that light ahead will save us from this grave

there's a light upon this house on a hill
Lyrics from: House on a Hill - The Pretty Reckless
Cass barely heard Zerachiel's words, but she nodded, and sat as he had instructed. She didn't take the time to look at the phone and just made it sleep for the time being. She was shaking more, and glanced up to see the angel going over to that toddler's table. That made her feel anxious for but a second until she realized he would never let her hurt the kid. Cassandra just kept trying to regulate her breathing. She took care to ignore the other beeps coming from her phone, and she shoved it into her pocket. When Zerachiel finally came back, he suggested the woods, which sounded a lot better than the middle of town. Cass simply nodded, and looked up at him, still fearful of her Wrath that was threatening to consume her. She felt that power trying to engulf her consciousness and she kept trying to fight like hell to keep control. She kept wondering how her sister was alive, and in the hands of whoever sent her the message.
Cassandra stood up cautiously, and gathered her belongings before starting for the front door. She glanced out the window, and noticed the angel that had been watching her was across the street now, staring at her once more. He was only there but a second before a vehicle passed, and he vanished. Cass breathed a sigh, and stepped aside to let Zerachiel lead her away. She wasn't in any state to even find her home, let alone a safe place in the woods. She whispered quietly, assuming that Zerachiel would hear her. "If I lose control... You have to manipulate me, or restrain me somehow... no matter what, okay? Please..." She said.
Cassandra couldn't resist the temptation any longer, and she checked her phone. The three messages she received were,
'It seems poor Cordelia has found herself in holy oil..'
'If you don't hurry, she's gonna die, Cassie!'
'And that's no fun!'
She made a fist with her free hand, and shoved the phone into her pocket, knowing how stupid it was of her to look. Cass wasn't even sure that was her sister, but if it was... She had to try. She took another breath to try and calm her racing heart, and kept her mind on Zerachiel and his presence.
