Woodland Meetings (Katerina)

Eli was sitting alone in her bedroom, staring at an old photograph. The photo was of her family from 11 years ago. She could almost still remember her brother laughing at her that day because she was afraid to get her picture taken. A loud sigh came from Eli's mouth and she set the picture down and glanced at the clock on her bedside table. She was debating on whether to go for a walk or not considering it was still really early. 'Well... I need something to get my mind off my brother's birthday....' She thought, getting up and going downstairs to leave.

Elysia had been on her walk about 20 minutes  before she was getting annoyed with her brain. All she could think about was her brother, and it annoyed the hell out of her. After a long sigh, she took a sharp turn off the sidewalk and into the thick woods beside her. She went a ways in before finding a large stump and sitting down. She closed her eyes and tried to drown out her thoughts with the sounds of the forest. She was listening to the birds chirping and the leaves being blown by the wind. It was then she heard the sound of footsteps rather far away. She wondered for a second if she should go investigate, but decided that, at that point, it wasn't worth going for the time being.

Today felt like a good day as any to take a stroll in the woods, maybe even camp out if the weather held. Yes she realized that it sounded a bit crazy but when your a military trained hunter, then it wasn't that bad. She was sure she could handle anything that came along. Her purpose in doing this today was to just get out of her stuffy hotel room and get some fresh air, reflect on things, and just chill out. She had a back pack on and when she was satisfied with it being secured on there, she tied up her hiking boots and headed out.

She had everything she needed for an overnight campout, then started walking. She was going to hoof it the whole way, besides fresh air and exercise were never a bad combo. She thought about taking her ipod but decided not to. She had her cell in case of a supernatural or regular emergency but something told her she would have a normal day for once. Besides the thoughts she had right now were more than capable of keeping her company while she walked. The thoughts of the gorgeous behemoth of a man she met the other night playing over and over in her head was enough to cause any woman with a pulse to walk with a grin on their face.

She was plodding along thinking of nothing else when she saw someone sitting on a stump, apparently someone wanted to be out here chilling too. Or maybe they were lost? She waved and said "Hi there, are you lost?"

Eli continued to sit there, listening to nature. She was vaguely aware of the footsteps getting closer to her location, but a quick smell of the wind coming towards her told her that who was coming was a human. The stump she sat on was large enough for her to lay back on, so she did, and closed her eyes. The footsteps finally reached her, and stopped. She heard a woman say hello and ask if she was lost. Eli opened her eyes, and turned to the woman.

"Hello. I'm not lost, but thanks for asking," She said, smiling. "Just... trying to forget some things..."

She sat up again and stretched her arms above her head. Eli was curious as to why this woman was out here as well; the woods weren't exactly the safest place, especially for humans. Eli thought back again to her brother and how protective he was. Elysia felt that pain in her heart return with a vengeance. She held back a sigh and hugged her waist, hoping this woman would distract her enough to forget him once again, if only temporarily.
