Life has been up and down lately with everything that has been going on in Beacon Hills and here he was again another sleepless night. They were out of coffee so he had to go to the market and pick some up, but first he was going to stop at an actual coffee shop. Yes Derek was going shopping for coffee at Midnight! How odd was that. He knew there had to be some twenty four hour place that sells the stuff. He had first stopped at this Beacon Burger this 24 hour diner to have a seat and grab a cup of Joe and escape the insaneness that is his pack and house. It could be down right mental sometimes. There was always something going down with on of his pack members so things were far from sane . Derek had to go out and relax, and what better way then to go get some coffee and go out for a run.
He had left a note before he headed out the door so no one would worry, armed the house security. Yes he had to have a security system set in place. Why because Lilith. Girl was forever was trying to sneak out so this way maybe just maybe she’ll stay in. He didn’t sign on for this he really didn’t. Perhaps he should have reached out to the pack in NY there were several families with two parents. Some days he doesn’t think he can do this on his own and if she keeps being unruly well then he will be deemed unfit to live with. He knew it was only a matter of time now. The clock was ticking against him. He didn’t know how else to control her maybe get them a nanny or something, but it would be hard since well the house is full or werewolves. He often wondered how Melissa McCall and Sheriff Stilinski raised Stiles and Scott on their own. Those two together were trouble.
Trouble that was something that loved to drown him so thickly! His life was a never ending loop of trouble and disappointments. Things weren’t supposed to be this way. Would it ever get any better? He didn’t know. He had hope that it would, but even as he ran into town thoughts keep swimming in his head. It didn’t take him too long cutting threw the woods to get to Beacon Burger. He slipped threw the doors and headed inside and nodded a slight thank you to the waitress as he was seated. He had ordered his coffee and waited patiently looking out the window at the street watching as people walked by clueless to the supernatural world around them.
