personality.
all about me
Asher has always been an interesting character, since he was little there has always been something different about him. Being born a werewolf had nothing to do with changing his personality from the bright eyed, always wanting to learn child. It was something he grew and learned to accept. If anything it instilled in him a fierce protectiveness and loyalty to those he holds most dear to him. He would do absolutely anything for those he calls his own and always will want to. Asher has this patience that can put anyone to shame, it takes a lot to break him of it and even then he will always come back to the person no matter what. Being a werewolf, he’s used to putting his own feelings aside so that he can better understand the people around him and not be so self absorbed. Since the birth of his daughter he has and always will do anything he can to protect her. She is his number one priority and will die for her. Rosie made him a better person, he brought this love into his life he never really knew existed. Without her he wasn’t sure how he would survive in life.
That being said he also has a darker side to him. As the full moon gets closer Asher gets more agitated by the minute. It is the one thing he can’t stand, the inability to remain in control of himself when the full moon hits. His temper should be something to fear from time to time, he doesn’t like being told what to do and he especially doesn’t want to be forced into anything. You do not mess with anyone he loves with including his daughter and girlfriend, Bambi. Do not anger this guy because if you do, you better run for the hills. He does not put up with anyone’s shit and doesn’t care what people think of him for the most part. Asher isn’t necessarily quick to anger but if he does then you better know you did something seriously wrong. At times it’s like he’s an animal, fighting like one if the need presents its self. No one messes with him and his without feeling his full wrath. Don’t let that fool you though, he can be a big teddy bear most of the time.
history.
this is the story of my life
Asher Royce Kelley has had quite an interesting life from before he was even conceived. The only child to Micah , a werewolf, and Georgia Kelley, his werewolf mate, he was doted on by his parents and fellow pack members. Even from birth he was always a quiet baby, hardly ever fussing and more keen to observing what was going on around him. Asher’s childhood was fairly uneventful, filled with learning about where he came from as a werewolf and how he could change whenever it so chooses. It wasn’t until he was around fourteen years old that he could fully control when he shifts, having a hard time to completely control it until then. Now he was going to public school, making friends and realizing that no matter what that he was going to take care of and be there for those he holds most dear.
By the time he hit high school it seemed that Asher Kelley’s life was really beginning to change. He was liked by most of the people in his school, dated a few of the girls that he’d had his eye on for a while, and he could for the most part be considered popular. There wasn’t many people that could ever really be angry with him and he could slide by quite easily. Not many people were aware of his disappearances during every full moon nor did they notice that he liked to disappear sometimes for what he called “camping trips with his dad”. It was there that he met Sarah Lane, another student just a year younger than him. She always seemed different than everyone else, he wasn’t completely sure why. Not like the rest of the boring, run of the mill people he’d grown up with. Something about her made the place a bit more livable and more entertaining. Most of the time he always found ways to talk to her, little things here and there or perhaps meeting up at a party. He’d tried the whole dating scene, having dated a handful of the girls at the school. But nothing ever came close to her. He would always find them boring and nothing he could see a future with. I guess you might even call him a serial dater, never sticking with one for long because they just never seemed to fit the bill for him. If there was one thing he knew it was that he could NEVER lie to a person he was dating especially if they asked questions about his scars or where he’d disappear. It frustrated him to no end that he couldn’t share it with anyone, caused him to find better means to take out the bent up emotions that seem to placate him. Adrenaline was his means; driving fast cars, his motorcycle, hell even drinking and partying.
Asher graduated from high school and automatically went to work at the local mechanic shop. His grades weren’t well enough for college so he went to the next best thing, his love for cars. It wasn’t that he wasn’t smart, it was that he never really applied himself. The only thing keeping him sane was his friendship with Sarah, but even that was starting to be tested. Something wasn’t right about her and no matter what he did he always felt the need to walk on eggshells around her. It was the best he could do for her but he wanted her to know that no matter what he was always going to be there. He didn’t want to hold on to her so much that it was suffocating but he didn’t want to lose her either. The animal in him was fiercely protective and ready to be on the defense at any given moment. She could come to him whenever she needed to and he wasn’t going to force her into anything.
Asher watched as she pushed him away, the harder he tried to stay with her as a friend the more he felt her pulling back and that ate away at him. He would disappear for days on end just running as a wolf to wherever he felt like. It was in those times that he felt most in control. No matter how much he tried to fight the wolf within him it was more a part of him then ever before. One night he was frustrated, something his dad had told him about moving on and he released all his pent up anger on a poor group of people partying in the woods. Two of them died, hardly having a chance to survive but once Ash did regain his cool again he realized that one of them did survive having just been bitten but not fatally. He freaked out, realizing what he did and bolted, not wanting to deal with what he had done. The mind is a funny thing and he wasn’t thinking clearly, not realizing the repercussions of leaving someone the way he did.
For months he hated himself for what he did. Not even Sarah could bring him out of the hatred he felt for himself. Asher eventually came out of it with the different highs and lows that she would show him. It showed him that there was something more important in front of his face that needed his attention rather than wallowing in the self-pity that he was doing. It was at that moment that he realized he needed to just bite back his emotions or they were going to harm another person like those people in the woods. He tried to be the person that people can always turn to and doesn’t like for people to see his vulnerable side. If they do he was scared he’ll hurt them and that would be the ultimate destruction of him. It was then that he decided to take the plunge, he couldn’t watch her pull away from him so he told her he loved her. He truly did, she was the one person she could trust in life and that was enough for him. Lucky for him she felt the same way.
Asher was completely honest with her, more honest then he had ever been with another human being before. Sarah didn’t run off, she wasn’t scared of what he became she was intrigued. He fell even more in love with her as he realized perhaps he wasn’t as big of a monster as he thought. Life was pretty perfect for them having denied being together for so long. Shortly after that they found out she was pregnant, a shock to both as they tried to deal with the idea of bringing a small life into this world. Things moved pretty quick and before long the pair had a beautiful, healthy little girl they named Rosie. It was like with the birth of his little girl that his whole life changed, it made all those years he lived his life how he did seem obsolete. With her she was the innocent thing that was his reprieve for all the bad he had ever done. He loved his girlfriend and his daughter more then words could ever describe. So when Sarah asked him to change her he fought it. He didn’t want to do that but she gave him no options. It wasn’t even him that changed her, his alpha did in hopes that she would be a good fighter for the pack. Asher was angry and spiteful for a long time even after she survived the transformation. It was then he should’ve known that the girl he loved for so long was upto no good. Always thinking about herself and not her family.
Their daughter was three years old when their lives changed for the worse. Asher and Sarah were out, a pack member watching little Rosie. Hunters found them, attacking them before Asher could even realize what was going on. They held him down as he watched them drag Sarah off, her screams still haunting his nightmares. Their pack finally showed up, just in time to save his life but it seemed that the mother of his child was dead. Only body parts left that you could not even identify her. After that he was a shell of the man he used to be, haunted by the images of hunters killing her. He devoted all his time to Rosie, never letting her out of his sights. This went on for years. He cared for nothing other then working and taking care of her. The best father she could have is what he was trying for. His biggest fear is something happening to her and that's just what happened. One night he needed a night out, a real night out with the boys, and he did. When he came back his home was ransacked, the babysitter dead and his daughter missing. Now he's searching desperately for his five year old, praying to whatever god will listen that not a hair on her head was harmed.
