the basics.
personality.
There are many different things you could use to describe Maggie Harris. Those that knew her before her mother died would definitely see the changes she’s gone through since she lost her. Before she was the always obeying, non-rule breaker who wouldn’t take one foot out of line. Now though she is a changed girl, she stays out late, fights with everyone, and has quite an attitude. She has just done a complete 180 in her own personality. Most people would find that incredibly weird, but if they knew Maggie, I mean really knew her you would see that it’s more of a cry for help. The only person who saw this was her now fiance, Cooper, and he's helped her through all of this.
This girl has all the fine qualities that you might want in a friend. Mags’s fiercely loyal to those that are lucky enough to gain her trust. You have to prove yourself to her for her to really be your friend and when you do she’ll have your back even until death. If there is one thing she’s learned it’s that you should never give up on those that you care about and to protect them at all costs. She has the habit of being honest with people, almost bluntly so and she doesn’t really care about hurting your feelings. To her, people shouldn’t be so sensitive. Most of the time she’s caring, wanting to help the people around her. This is what she has always been like growing up. But she also had quite a rebellious streak; breaking rules and fighting people that piss her off. All of this changed as her maternal instincts kicked in, with the birth of Parker it seemed to soften her. No one would think this was the same girl they knew before if they see her around her son or his father. These two have changed her completely and wholeheartedly into a loving individual that takes the role of family very seriously.
There are times that she gets in a depression; a funk that hardly anyone can pull her out of. With it she becomes cold, bitter, reserved and closed off from the world. Training is the one constant she’s always had in her life, so she wants to be the best. Maggie will lock herself up in a closet where she tries to deal with her issues. No one is ever allowed to see her cry and she pretty much closes everyone off from her emotions. After being the cause of her mother’s death she’s incredibly reserved and guarded about the people around her. There were far too many times people have looked at her like this broken doll. “Oh look at the girl with two dead parents and a missing brother,” it unnerves her. When she commits to something she is going to see it through, never one to break her word. That was something she learned from her parents, something she honors for them. She’s a fierce fighter and has a temper to match. You mess with her family you will have a Mama Bear to deal with. What’s not to love about her? Try her out if you dare.
history.
What’s there to say? Margaret “Maggie” Adelaide Harris was born into the loving home of William and Nadine Harris, their second and last child. Her older brother Rex wanting all he could to help take care of his little sister, feeling very protective of her. A beautiful baby girl with big blue-gray eyes that would make even the most bitter person’s heart melt with one look at her. This little family was very much complete. William was an ex-army sergeant and dabbled in hunting just like his father did as a profession before him. Nadine didn’t like it, but she dealt with it because it made her husband happy. She had her son and daughter and that was all that mattered. Maggie was spoiled rotten by her parents, doted on and raised to be the best person she could be. Her brother on the other hand was always being told what he should and shouldn’t do, raised to be just like his father. From a young age her father would teach her bits and pieces about hunting, wanting her to know what it was that he was doing. Her age didn’t matter to him, she was smart for her age and all he saw was protecting her. Nadine of course didn’t always agree with it but she would put up with it, just glad they were spending time together. Their mother worried about what would become of her children as they were trained but she understood they needed to be aware of what was going on around them. Her greatest fear was them turning into the monsters they hunted.
Maggie grew up with all the normal childhood experiences and before long she was in junior high school. She was a teenager who would follow the rules and do everything right. Her parents couldn’t be more proud of her as she gets all the good grades and does what they tell her to do. William would go off on his own version of hunts while Nadine, Rex, and Maggie were left at home. Maggie was outside walking their German Shepard, Molly, way too close to the woods. She knew better, her father always telling her when it got closer to the full moon to stay away but she didn’t listen. That night when they were getting ready for bed a werewolf broke into their house, following the scent of her dog which is what they were after. Maggie tried to remember all her father had taught her but she couldn’t do it. Nadine died right there as her traumatized daughter looked on in horror. The werewolf mauled their mother to death, bit her older brother, and would’ve killed Maggie if it wasn’t spooked off by something else. Within hours her father heard the news and returned home to find his daughter in the hospital, his son missing, and his wife dead.
After this her father wanted nothing to do with Maggie. She was sent to live in the secret society that her father was a part of, trained to protect herself against the monsters that took away her family. Maggie loved and hated the place, it felt like a prison at times and other it was the one place she couldn't live without. Here is where she met her real family, not the blood relation but those she could call true family. It was here that she met and fell in love with her teacher. Something that was so unheard of to fall for your teacher but with Cooper Grayson there was no denying the chemistry between them. Kept a secret until she graduated it was a challenge that if anything brought them closer together. Not many knew about this, the fear of being noticed and the repercussions far too great for the pair but they made it work. Through thick and thin they did their best and as soon as she graduated they made themselves known.
It was shortly after this that Maggie learned of her father's death, a hunt gone wrong and it was then she learned the meaning of being alone. Orphaned with no idea where her older brother was she only had Cooper and that was all she needed. He helped her through this just like he always did. He was and always would be her rock. Through thick and thin he was there for her. So when they found out they were unexpectedly having a baby it seemed their world was about to turn upside down. She was barely over age but they didn't seem to matter. Evil seemed to invade their lives as it always seemed to as it pulled and tortured the pair and their loved ones. With one another they all seemed to make it through in the end that was until the birth of Parker, their son.
Attacked by the evil they hunt, the monsters cut the child out of Maggie while she laid there helpless to save their son. They took him but after a while they were able to get him back. Still a perfect if not slightly premature baby Parker Joshua Grayson was the spitting image of his father. The huntress became very over protective after being attacked but with the help of her fiance he helped her realize that the whole world wasn't this painful horror story that she seemed to think it was. While she still has a hard time dealing with the world she knows she has to do all she can to protect their son and the love of her life. This was her family, and Maggie knew that family was the most important thing in the world. There are whispers that her brother is coming closer to Beacon Hills, and it worries Maggie. She doesn't know what's going to happen if her long lost brother does finally make an appearance. The world has changed....but just how much is it about to for this happy little family? Only time will tell.
