[Kasey Nord Radley]

It hadn't been very long since he had come to Beacon Hills, mostly Kasey Radley had been there to visit his daughter, however, he wasn't going to lie that there were some of other reasons as well. One of his friends at told him about a surge of activity within Beacon Hills, that of supernatural proportions and the hunter had wanted to see this for himself. The Californian suburb seemed to specialize in werewolves, but where there was one species of a creature, there were probably others lurking in the shadows as well. Yet he had really to run into any, which did nothing more that lead him into a mild boredom. He shouldn't say that though, the hunts were not the reason why he came, it had really been his daughter, or well, adoptive daughter, but that was another story for another time that he hoped he would never have to share with anyone else.

Leaves crunched beneath his boots now as he stalked through the woods, the moon lighting the way above him. Kasey kept a keen eye, blue grey eyes looking out for anything that would remotely suggest danger but there seemed to be nothing that night. Of course, the moon wasn't full so he wasn't even sure on what he had been expecting. There were probably other things that he should be doing right now like heading back to his hotel room, going to the local hunter bar to find out intel, hell, just going to a bar to perhaps talk to a pretty girl. Instead though, he found himself wishing to get to know his surroundings better, at dark. Some might not say that it's the smartest in the world to do, but it was situations like these, even without the threat of some sort of danger, that he truly felt like he was alive. Brought back his past, made him think of the Army, hell, even running around in the wilds of his home, back before he learned everything.

Certainly before he was carrying around a compound bow, that always got him a lot of questions. They were silent, unlike guns but he had never been opposed to their use. He just preferred the stealth they offered and in some ways, people considered them more humane. At least, when it came to deer, it might be an entirely different set up when it came to werewolves and others. That was something Kasey never quite bothered to learn more about. Most of his hunter life had been self taught in the beginning, after everything that had happened with his sister. Of course, those were memories that he often kept buried away now, hardly ever thought upon any more. It did not do him well to dwell on the past, there was nothing he could do about it nor change it. He might as well stick with the present and worry about the future.

The hunter came to a halt now, standing near one of the many overlooks that the preserve had to offer. It was interesting to see, the suburb, and how much woods seemed to stretch between it. All the lights that stood out like a beacon of hope in the darkness, that or it only called every danger to it. Though, it's not as if it stood out against other cities, other towns. They all had their issues, Seattle in particular, he heard could be a hot spot for activity as well. But he had heard things about Beacon Hills, from friends, but he also did a little of his own research as well. Something about it was making everything else stand out. People getting killed in the woods, by animals, but when he took a look at the pictures, it looked like no werewolf attack that he had ever seen. It might have actually suggested cat. There was a snapping of a twig now alerted him now, Kasey reached for his bow quickly and within a matter of seconds, there was an arrow lined up in it as well.

Grey blue eyes took in everything now, his body taunt and tense, ready for anything to happen. Yet, he didn't quite feel the threat of danger, or if there was one, it wasn't aimed at him, "Hello?" for once, breaking the rule of absolute silence. It took away his edge, but something told him that maybe, just maybe, there wasn't anything to fear out there, must less kill. Tonight at least. But that didn't mean that he loosened the bow, put the arrow back in his quiver, no, that wouldn't happen until he was sure.

Amalia wasn't a deliquent. No. She just had her rebelious streaks. When she wanted answers, she was determined to find answers. And lately that meant trying to find solitude while reading her copy of her father's hunting journal. She had to hide it so it wouldn't be found. She wasn't even sure how to explain why she has it.

Like the last couple nights, Mollie tugged her hidden back out from under the floor below her bed. She tugged it on and snuck out her window. She knew that she would be found out if she decided to go out the front or back door. Besides, she was supposed to be asleep. She doubted anyone would be checking up on her in the middle of the night.

It was always easier down from her second floor bedroom than to get back up there. But once she was on the ground she took off running to the woods. It wasn't long before she was deep into preserve. She used the light from her cell phone to locate the flashlight in her bag. She tugged it out and a gun. She then tugged her bag back onto her bag and phone into the pocket of her jacket. She refused to come into the woods without some form of protection. She didn't trust herself with her werewolf abilities. She'd rather forget they existed.

But she couldn't forget. Not when there was a familiar scent in the air. She had to follow it, had to know if it was who she thought it was. It was a comforting smell. It made her want answers with every step. What was he doing in the woods? Was there something out here? That thought made her a little more nervous. She clicked off her flash light as the smell of her father got stronger, relying on her werewolf sight to see in the dark.

Hearing her dad's voice made the last of her resolve crumble. Just as she was about to turn away and leave, he had to go and speak. "What are you doing out here, Dad?" She called out before stepping out into the clearing. She lowered her gun with a sigh. Grounded. She could already see that one coming. But she wanted to know what he was doing out here. Hunting?

As seconds seemed to pass, the tighter he felt his grip on his bow become. With no answer, that threat of no danger quickly began to change Files of monsters went flying through his head, although naturally with this being Beacon Hills, the only thing out there felt like it could be a werewolf. There never seemed to be a shortage of them in this town, no hunter could argue that. Kasey's body grew a little taunt by each second, ready to spring into action as a shadow of a figure stepped into the clearing, "Mollie?" Now this had not been something that he had been expecting, running into his daughter, out in the forest, with a freaking gun. His surprise quickly turned into a frown now, "Shouldn't I be the one asking you that question?"

For two seconds, his blue grey eyes cast glance to the woods behind him, but it become clear now to him that she had been the only being that he had heard out here besides himself. Relaxing, he quickly put his bow back, allowing it to hang at an angle from his shoulder as he moved over towards her, "Better yet, why are you out here with a gun?" Kasey was avoiding her own question, he knew that and no doubt Mollie had already caught that, but he rather not delve into the reason as to why he was out here, and if he could avoid lying to her right now, he would. It might not be the best parental approach to life, sometimes he could sense a strain, but if he could keep her in the dark, he would.

Telling her about any of it seemed wrong, Kasey never saw a point. The world was dark enough with the problems that mere humans caused, he didn't need to bring up the fact that their were monsters in it as well, or her mother for that matter. Parenting was a funny thing, especially when he hardly been there for her other than phone calls and a visit every month. He tried though, Kasey would have thought it might have been enough but he still got the lectures from his friends and now, apparently Mollie snuck out at night, "If this is about a boy, I do not approve," although that still wouldn't explain the gun, unless murder was involved, somehow though, he didn't think that would quite be the case though.

He headed over to her now, not bothering to keep his stealth now. Stopping a few feet short of her now, Kasey did nothing but stare down at her, blue grey eyes doing nothing but regarding her with a neutral expression, although his earlier tone probably had already given away his annoyance. He couldn't quite decide though if he was annoyed at her for being out or at himself for being caught like this by his own daughter, "Come on, let's get you back home." He nodded towards the general direction to their pathway out of the woods, no doubt telling her to start walking first although Kasey was already prepared to be met with some sort of force that wouldn't wish to comply, that and probably questions that he would still want to avoid answering.

Mollie hadn't actually expected to stumble upon her father while out in the woods. How was she supposed to explain all of this to him? There were too many lies she would have to come up with and keep track of. And she wasn't exactly up for getting grounded more than she already was going to be.

She shifted uncomfortably and shrugged. "I suppose you should be," she replied. It was only right for him to ask it. She was, after all, wandering around the woods at night. The woods were dangerous, and they both knew it. She knew it was the father figure coming out, but she wondered why it had to come out now of all times.

The teen uncocked the gun, setting the safety back on, before tucking it into the back of the waist of her pants. She covered it up with her shirt, leveling her father with a steady gaze. "Well, we both know the woods can be dangerous. Would you have preferred me wandering these woods without a way of protecting myself?" Sure, she knew enough self defence to protect herself, but she had the gun to handle the supernatural. Not that she needed her dad to know she was aware of the supernatural to begin with.

The girl groaned when her dad had to bring up this involving a boy. "There is no boy involved, dad." It wasn't like that, regardless of how much that sounded more appealing than the truth. "There's a small pond not far from here, about fifty feet west, that is beautiful at night. I go there to read. Sometimes deer and other animals come out and drink." She settled on telling the truth, not the whole truth but enough.

Amalia wasn't about to budge, she just crossed her arms. "How about you tell me why you're out here, dad? Or is that some super secret that I'm not allowed to know?" She didn't like the secrets. She felt like a lot of their relationship was built around secrets and lies. If she could just tug one little string... Maybe things would be a little better between them.
