AND WHEN THE SHIT HITS THE FAN, TELL ME WHO YOU THINK IS THE MAN |
Derek wasn’t looking forward to this, but he had to take Thaila shopping. She was going to start school in the next couple of weeks and she had to be prepared. Hell Derek doesn’t even remember all one needs for school so he had asked her to get the others to help her with a list of things she’d need. He wanted her to fit in and make some friends. It would do her some good. She had the pack to help her out with that adjustment too. She was actually pretty smart for a girl who lives in the world of fairytales. It was actually mind blowing. Derek had to take her to be tested to see where she’d fit in. Had to get proper papers and what not from someone he trusted to cover up and make a story that is buyable of why she is staying with him. He hoped that she would like school. Derek did his daily work out, changed and knocked on her door. “Thaila, get dressed. We got to go shopping today.” He told her, and walked back down stairs into the living room and plopping on the couch. He figured she was engrossed in a book again. It is something she did often. He was actually kind of nervous taking her shopping. He didn’t know what was in or what was out. He liked dark colors and solid ones at that. He rubbed his face. “It is now or never,” he muttered under his breathe. School supplies they had to get too. Possibly, he should have just given Erica money and had her take Thaila clothes shopping, but he was trying to be the responsible adult here. How he wished again Laura were still here she’d have been great at this. He really hoped he wouldn’t screw this up. She was a good girl and he had no fear about her doing well with her studies just the whole fitting in and she has impeccable control over her ablities more so then the others so he didn’t see problems on that front either. |
