If you wait for me
then I'll come for you
Although I've traveled far
I always hold a place for you in my heart

Zerachiel was in love with the earth. The smell of the grass first thing in the morning. The sound of children's laughter. The way souls seemed to be so much happier. He had settled with Graham for a bit, discussing everything. There were no secrets between them. He told his vessel as much as he was allowed to. But, even with knowing him, Graham had yet to reject him.
Zera was a gentle soul, just like his vessel. It was the angel who had first suggested getting a house. It was always full of life, people coming and going. But they weren't your ordinary people. They were hunters. They were angels. They were humans. They were old. They were young. Some were children. The house was a home for wayward beings. A home for those who had nowhere else to go, nowhere else to stay. Some stayed a night, some stayed months. Even when Zerachiel wasn't around, Graham kept the home open.
The angel leaned back in his seat, just watching a couple children running around the swings. They were orphaned. Hunter children that he was trying to find homes for. He wasn't quite sure where to begin, but he was looking into putting them into a life where the supernatural wouldn't really touch them. Keeping them was out of the question. Demons were bound to come to their door and they refused to allow anyone to be used as leverage against them, especially young innocent children.
Zerachiel was enjoying the feel of being slightly free. Yes, he was still doing what he was needed to do. But this felt nice. It felt nice to actually do something he wanted to do. The thought was a little startling, made him a little uncomfortable. But he just wanted to smile. He knew that he would be called upon at any moment to lead the next soul to judgement. But he was enjoying the now.
A voice startled him out of his thoughts. His first reaction was to look for the two children he was caring over. After making sure that they were still in the area, he glanced at the person who spoke to him.
