Dom had been curious where she has been and what places she liked the best hopefully this will one day be one of the places she likes if things stay quiet, but he knew she liked sort of messy things so this place hasn’t scared her off just yet and hopefully he won’t be the one to scare her off. She seemed as if she were a well put together young woman and knew what she wanted and he liked that about her. He listened as she spoke telling him that it is a job. He nodded he understood it is a job and it pays the bills so that really is all that mattered. He listened to all the pretty places she has been and made a mental note about the places she thought was the worst. “Seems like you have been all over. Do they ever call you over seas to look at bizarre cases like the ones here in the US?” She was a well-traveled person. “I will make a note to bring some snot repellent if I ever go to Malibu. I hear there are some good surf shops around there or something. “ He said with a shrug and New York he has never been, but has heard it is crowded and traffic for days. He doesn’t think he could deal with the wait time. “I don’t think I’d like the feeling of being in a rat race people always so close to you and up in your personal space. It had to be a nightmare.” He commented.
He had told her about his job and it was fun for him he loved being out doors. So he didn’t mind it much a lot of people would hate it due to all the bugs, but you have to remember your bug spray and stuff, and remember not to leave food lying around or you’d def have some sort of wild animal attracted to you. “Yeah it is you see some pretty amazing animals out their in the wilderness of the woods.” he told her, “But it’s also very dangerous at times too so it keeps me on my toes.” Which it did and kept him in shape and in the gym so he doesn’t end up like some old dude with a beer gut. He’d hate looking like that. She told him that she wasn’t much of a camper, but she once had a pet squirrel. She told him it was the coolest thing and he totally agreed with that. “That had to be something amazing did you train him to do stuff like get you the paper and things?” He thought that would be awesome a squirrel that acts like a dog. He wished the squirrels in the woods would do that for him instead of dropping nuts on his head or on the roof of the cabin. He hears acorns rolling around on top of the cabin all day and all night as if they are playing with them. “You will have to one day tell me your secret on training them to be a pet.” He said with a cheeky grin sipping his coffee.
He explained more about them attacks to her and where they were and how they were close to him which sort of scared him a little bit since it was basically in his backyard. He just hoped whatever did it didn’t show up on his doorstep or in town, but he’d be prepared with the shotgun or tranq darts if he did show up. She had told him that coffee is the breakfast of champions and how wheaties never did it for her and he laughed at that a little bit. “You’re right it is the breakfast of champs and who knows maybe them wheaties just tasted too much like cardboard to you. I have to admit I have never tried them,” he told her. He had stuck to things like cheerios and crispix. They chatted about the gossiping people and he himself like to find out about people first hand and not threw the rumor mill and he really wanted to show her that not every one in town is snotty and spread lies and wants to know the truth. He wasn’t one to believe rumors.
“ I am sure they are just jealous of your genius level and that is why they make up silly things or they just have to make up things because you are prettier then them and they can’t stand being out of the lime light for a millisecond. What‘s your favorite one you have heard about yourself in a small town? “ He asked curious as to what other things had been said about her. She really is very interesting and unique to him and he loved that. Their meals were there and she dug into hers before he started and he began to cut up his French toast sticking a bit in his mouth and chewing it really hit the spot. He must be doing fairly well with their talks since she asked if he wasn’t busy this week if he could show her around and get his take on the attacks. “Sure. I’d love that. Just let me know when you want to do this and I am sure if I had something going on I could reschedule.” Which is true he could if he was busy in a heartbeat. Anything he could do to help this investigation he’d be on it and wouldn’t mind seeing her again. He pulled out his phone, and slide it on the table. “If you want you can punch your number in that,” he told her. That way he has hers to call her especially if another case like this ever happens she may want to look into it. “ I would defiantly like to help any way I could with this investigation you have going on. I really hope something like it won’t happen again.” he was serious there anything he could do to help he was on it.
