What was it that got broken inside of you
That sent you off searchin' down empty avenues?
Rooms cold and smoky that you stumbled through
Looking for a little truth somehow

Saturday morning. Isodelle loved Saturday mornings. There was no school. She didn't need to go running about to make sure she wasn't late getting to her homeroom before even she would be late. She was able to just relax and live her own life. Even if it meant getting out of bed to search for coffee.
She honestly didn't even want to get dressed to leave her apartment. She had been living there over a year and still had boxes to unpack. There was also the matter of replacing her broken coffee maker. She was honestly thinking of going with one with k cups. Those were nice and easy. They also made hot chocolate and tea. She could be on board anything that made her drinks for her and she didn't have to do anything more than drink it.
Izzy slipped into a pair of jeans, a loose fitting shirt, and a pair of sneakers. She grabbed her purse on her way out the door. She combed through her hair with her fingers on the way to her car. She smiled when it came into view. She jumped into the driver's seat and went off to visit the local diner. Usually she would just pop in and out of Cake and Bake, but she felt like a full breakfast was needed.
Then again, she was a regular at the diner on Saturdays. She sat in the same corner booth every Saturday. Today was without exception. They weren't really busy yet, but there were still a few others there. That didn't bother her at all. She was completely used to it. But she was startled when someone spoke to her as she was in the middle of sipping on her coffee and trying to decide what she was going to try for breakfast today.
