I am not a bad man
Even though I do bad things
Very bad things
Such horrible things

Vetis actually loved playgrounds. He loved the childish innocence that it represented. He actually liked children. Oh how he loved them. Their innocent nature. He just wanted to tear it away from them. He wanted to see their fearful eyes. Laugh at their screams and pleas of being released. Of not being killed. Most of all, he loved how eager they always were to do anything to save their parents.
He was a cross-roads demon, it was his job to make deals and claim souls. Otherwise, life would be quite boring. He wouldn't get to have half as much fun as he did. And he would probably cause more death and destruction due to boredom.
He stood leaning against the tree, just watching a teen pouring out their life to him. It was rather pathetic. These teens. He had been making deals with a bunch of them lately and it was rather disgusting. But he wasn't about to stop. He wouldn't stop until he was satisfied with his soul count. But this one before him was rather annoying and possibly one of the worst at asking for his help.
It was probably why he was enjoying tormenting the girl. Sure, he was a demon and it was expected of him to be rather cruel, but this went beyond normalcy for him. He smiled and knelt before the girl. "You want to be given status and have people know your name?" He smiled at the nod he received. "I will give it to you, on the condition that when your soul is mine. In ten year's time or the day you die, whichever comes first. You soul will be brought to hell and will never be released." He wanted to laugh at how naive the girl was, at how willingly she tossed her soul away just for something so meaningless.
"Alright, if you're sure," he placed a hand to her head and one to her heart. He spoke in tongues, muttering an incantation he knew by heart and used quite often. He released the girl within seconds, smiling. "It's done. Now remember our deal." The confused look on the girl's face made him laugh. "Run along. Trust me. Your name will be known soon enough and everyone aroun the world will know it." This seemed to delight the girl who took off running to return home.
"Oh yes, everyone will know your name and the horrors you will inflict upon the world." He chuckled to himself, already excited to see how this girl's death will come about. But his smirk grew when he was quite sure yet another person was about, someone quite familiar.
