He honestly could not believe that he was sitting in detention right now. Him, Danny Mahealani. In fact, he couldn't even think of a time where he had been remotely close to being sent to detention. Okay, a federal detention center maybe but this was an entirely different story. Showing up two minutes late shouldn't count as a crime, not as a first offense. But Danny hadn't argued, he merely accepted defeat and metaphorically just flopped over. There was no point in arguing, it'd just get him into even more trouble. After all, he should be lucky that it was only the fall and therefore didn't cut into lacrosse practice.
Still, it felt like a waste of his time. Normally, it was people like Scott McCall and Stiles Stilinski sitting in this position, not him. Brown eyes looked to the clock, only a few minutes had passed since he had last look even though it seemed like centuries. The fact that it was also a Friday bothered him, detentions on Fridays should be illegal. Didn't teachers have lives? Danny knew Harris did as hard it was to believe but plenty of people had seen him out and about before in the public eye, however weird that had been. Actually, the idea of seeing any of his teachers outside of school seemed weird, even though they were all perfectly fine human beings.
His gaze moved from the proctor now, gazing to take a look at some of his fellow prisoners but at the moment, they were nothing but faces to him. Figures that would be the case. Of all the times to get sent to detention, there wasn't even a person that he would care to talk to. Danny supposed that he should hope that this didn't turn into one of these detentions where they forced you to do some sort of work, like restocking closets or cleaning out erasers. If that were the case, then he really would have to talk to someone. He gathered quickly though it was too early for their fate to be decided quite yet, kids were still filing out of the school and there was no doubt in his mind that there were still a few stragglers.
Brown eyes merely looked to the clock once more though and then to the door, for a moment almost willing somebody, anybody that he knew, to come walking through that door. Danny supposed that would be too much to ask for though. Reaching down besides him, the teenager grabbed hold of his binder before pulling it out and placing it on the table. He found himself half tempted to grab his computer as well, but Danny quickly decided against it, figuring that it would probably be frowned upon since this is his so called 'punishment'. Flipping his binder open now, his eyes scanned over his homework, mots of which had been completed other than chem.
The topic made a sigh escape his lips, soft and muted as he pushed the binder a little farther away from him. He honestly had no problem with understanding chem, Danny could grasp it when he needed to but lab work tended to be a different story. It was tedious and long, considering that he was already wasting his Friday away here, his motivation to complete any form of lab work hit an all time low. So with that, Danny did the only the only thing that he could think of right now, he folded his arms on the table and quickly buried his head into them. The teenager was just going to go ahead and ignore the world to the best of his abilities.
