I've got my ticket for the long way 'round
The one with the prettiest of views

leksi gathered up his small sketchbook and shoved it into the well stretched back pocket of his worn jeans, sticking a pencil in the other pocket as he put his sunglasses atop his head and guzzled down another half bottle of water before sticking it back in the fridge. He grabbed his leather jacket and headed out of his loft, flicking the lights off and locking the door as he went, down the flights of stairs to the outside, immediately pulling his sunglasses down over his eyes. The sunlight was fading, as it was growing later, so it wasn’t as bad, but it definitely wasn’t comfortable either. He let out a breath and let himself acclimate before he continued on his way, looking around and observing the people as he went, unsure of what he was looking for, but perhaps he would know when he saw it. The lean man saw one of the local bars come into sight in the distance, and with an inward shrug, he headed on his way towards it, not sure what could come of a visit to the bar, but one never knew. He certainly wasn’t going to make assumptions before he got more details. He’d learned that at least.
He stepped inside a few minutes later and looked around curiously, pushing his sunglasses up onto his head and out of the way. Alek wasn’t entirely sure why he’d gone to a bar of all places, if he wanted food, one of the restaurants would have been a better place, considering he didn’t drink, because hangovers were just as bad as his visions so he didn’t bother. But he still moved to sit at the bar anyways, folding his lean hands together as he waited for someone to come take his order. He looked up at the list of choices, and sighed before finally deciding he’d go with one, and only one, glass of red wine. Just because he didn’t drink didn’t mean he didn’t appreciate the finery aspects of it.
