all about me
Danny tends to be one of those guys that is hard to hate despite being on the near top of the social ladder. According to a few people, everybody loves Danny. While he might not make an effort to socialize with those outside of his group of friends, he doesn't blow people off either and will answer just about any question proposed to him. Nothing tends to bother him other than things that he finds annoying. The number one source of this annoyance? Stupid questions that revolve around his sexuality, mainly attraction which tend to end in 'you're not my type'. To his friends, he's loyal and often stands by their back, but if they get a little emotional or out of hand, he's always there to knock them down to reality but not once could somebody say that he has a real mean bone in his body. One thing though that Danny has trouble with is getting hung up on stuff, or more particularly, people. Breakups tends to be hard of him even though they're usually for better than worse and will normally turn to hitting up the clubs and drinking to get his mind off of these things. Other than his love for the game, there is one other thing that he excels at and that is computers. There isn't much on the digital frontier that that Danny can't crack, the aftermath left in his wake was a criminal record earned at the age of thirteen. Even though the charges were dropped, this only displays how smart Danny is, while maybe not completely well rounded like Lydia Martin, he still is usually sought out for help.
history.
this is the story of my life
Unlike most of his current classmates, Danny is not originally from Beacon Hills. Instead, he was born in his parent's native home, Oahu, Hawaii. His stay in Hawaii was short lived though, at the age of five, his parents had to move to California due to relocation for their work and thus, Danny Mahealani ended up in Beacon Hills. His childhood was fairly normal to say the least, nothing traumatizing happened to him. When he entered sixth grade, his parents wished for him to get into something a little more active than just sitting around his house all day. They enrolled him into a lacrosse camp during that summer and the sport stuck with him. Danny only lasted one summer on defense though before he switched over to goalie. It was mostly a decision done by the coaches at the camp for his natural need to step towards the ball, but Danny also liked to joke with his friends that he agreed to it because it meant that he didn't have to run as much as everyone else.
So lacrosse stuck and soon put him on the rise of popularity in middle school. But that wasn't the only thing changing for Danny, he began to notice things, people in particular. Instead of girls and their obnoxious drama, he often found his gaze being drawn to other guys instead. At first, he wasn't really sure of what to make of it. Confusion littered his brain like no other followed by uncertainty. The confusion only phased him for a little bit though before Danny realized that this was just who he was. He had always been comfortable in his own skin and soon decided that this wasn't going to change that fact about him. The only thing that he did find himself a little bit nervous about was how the rest of the world was going to look at him, mainly family and friends. So for the time being, Danny thought it might be best that he keep it to himself until a later time. Little did he know though, many of his friends had already figured this out about him, but instead of asking or putting any pressure on him, decided to just wait with him.
At the age of thirteen, during one day when Danny was just passing time on the computer, he decided to play a little game to see if he could hack his way onto the Pentagon mainframe. Prior to this, he had been building up his computer skills through self teaching with books, classes, and just regular use of the internet. His obsession with the digital age had been what prompted his parents to get him into lacrosse in the first place so that he wouldn't end up in any trouble. Lacrosse though, managed to fail in that aspect though as later that night when he started his little game, did Danny Mahealani end up finding himself on the Pentagon mainframe. He quickly got out of it, but due to his young age, didn't exactly know how to cover up a trail. A few days later, the Mahealani's found the feds on their doorstep wishing to prosecute whoever had broken their firewalls. They of course, were utterly confused by this and didn't know what to make of it, but it didn't take long for their son to fess up to the crime. The little confession earned him a booking and a criminal record.
After a year of legal though, the charges were dropped deciding that they wouldn't end a thirteen year old's (now fourteen) life over this. Instead, they decided that they would keep a tab on him for future reference in case they wished to recruit him after high school or college. The charges were dropped just in time too since he would be entering high school. High on life when he started his freshmen year, it didn't take long for Danny to come out, deciding that after dealing with all of that legal drama that there would be nothing more terrifying in his life than that. Not once was he met with backlash though, something that he was quite relieved over nonetheless. From there, Danny's life continued on as normal for his freshman year of highschool and the starting of his sophomore year. He regularly spends his time with the lacrosse team, whether it's practice or not and is often seen in the company of Jackson Whittemore. Things started to get, arguably, a little weird sophomore year. Not for Danny personally, but just in what was going on at the high school and Beacon Hills in general such as Scott McCall's new found lacrosse abilities or the fact that Stiles Stilinski had him hack into one of Allison Argent's email.
But Danny was willing to let that all go if it weren't for the fact that Scott and Stiles tended to have the weirdest conversations during class. While he puzzled over it for a moment or two from time to time, he eventually just came to the conclusions that they were just being the weirdos that they were. At the same time though, he couldn't help but to notice that something strange seemed to be going on with Jackson and then with Lydia when she ended up in the hospital but he found himself uncertain if it was worth the risk of bringing it up, knowing that his questions would be shot down he moment they were asked. So Danny left it alone, his assistance only needed when it came to dealing with a footage request and worked with Matt to discover a loop in Jackson's footage. It was also during this time that his then boyfriend had broken up with him, and while Danny decided to party it out at the Jungle. During a freak attack though, he ended up at the hospital due to the oddest sense of paralysis. He also, much to his displeasure, lost his fake ID that night. For now though, everything seemed fine again until a sudden spiking death tole happened in the population of Beacon Hills. More and more people seemed to suddenly appear as well, either passing through or staying permanently.
While Danny had always just left the odd things alone in Beacon Hills, he now finds himself truly wondering what is going on.
