Baby I'm tired of running wild
With all this time
Out on my own

Emeric had felt so drawn to the woods. He couldn't explain why he was even out here. It had been early morning and something felt different. He hadn't bothered to wake anyone from his court. He believed it was nothing, nothing he wouldn't be able to escape from. He had faith in his ability to escape danger.
He dressed his sneakers, jeans, a t-shirt, and tugged on a hoodie to help him fight off the chill left over from the night. He knew it should be light out, which made him groan thinking that it was going to be a cloudy day. He was hoping for a cloudy day. However, he started wandering the woods when it began to rain.
He groaned and tugged the hood up on his hoodie. He mumbled as he walked. He hated the rain. He hated the way it hit his body. He knew that they would soak his wings if he weren't hiding them. And the fairy wouldn't be a happy camper if his wings were wet. No. He would be completely mad.
Oh how he wanted to call this a wild goose hunt. He couldn't figure out why he felt like something weird was going on here. Em groaned and turned around to head home. He was sure it was late morning and the rain wasn't letting up. The woods were just too large and he couldn't sense where the feeling had come from. He was just running into dead ends.
The teen ran went fingers down his face as a shiver ran through his body. He began to trudge back, but a sound made him stop. He stilled and listened to the sounds. He wasn't alone. Emeric readied himself to disappear at the slight hint of danger.
