I am not a bad man
Even though I do bad things
Very bad things
Such horrible things

Vetis was not exactly thrilled when it was his turn to have to sit and man the front desk. They worked in shifts doing it and today was his day. It wasn't so much the people who actually came into the Department. No. Those people he could deal with, or so he believed. The people on the phone were worse. Cat stuck in a tree? Call the fire department. Child got bullied? Tell the school and complain to the principal.
The male was board of humans. They were so pitiful, foolish, and naive. He probably should have taken pity on them, but that wasn't a word he really knew personally. He just knew of it. Vetis wouldn't be caught dead showing pity to anyone, especially a foolish human who couldn't even figure out how to get their cat down from a tree.
He just shifted through his paperwork that he had to get done. He was almost done filing it and could hand it over for Sheriff Stilinski to review by the end of the day, which he was rather glad about. Quicker it was off his desk, faster he could forget about it. It was simply a missing person's case, but they had located the body. What he wasn't volunteering to let on was he knew all about the case since it was his handy work. Deals came with a price, after all.
The deputy leaned back in his chair, actually wanting to be outdoors. Being stuck inside, playing officer... It wasn't much fun. Not when he was sure he would have to deal with more ridiculous people coming into the Sheriff's Department for even more ridiculous reasons.
