As she stumbled out of her car, the last pill she’d popped in her mouth finished fizzling upon her tongue and her head still had the remarkable spin that remained from the last. She avoided the sideways glances as she narrowly missed falling over her own feet as she pushed her car door shut. The fact it was barely evening didn’t matter to Bambi right now, she’d barely come down for the last few days and whoever the guy was that she took these pills from, well he obviously knew what it took to have a good time. The problem now was that she hadn’t had a drink for hours and that dull pain in her head and the burn of her stomach had started to become a pound and a churn.
Lifting her sunglasses off her face, Bambi put her bum onto a chair, looking around the bar at everyone. The bar was full of the classics. The hunters sat brooding over a solitary beer that they’d been hiding in the darkness with for hours, those people that had jumped in for a calming class of red after a long day in the office, the woman that was definitely only going to have a coke until her friends got there but two empty glasses later, the Rose that was leaking condensation onto the wooden table top was all too tempting for her.
As she ordered a bottle of tequila, the demon half breed looked at the guy barely stable at the bar beside her. She could feel the pain come off him in waves, not because she had any ability to the fact but just because she knew the look too well not too. Thankfully for her the layers of dark eye shadow and the aviator sunglasses hid a multitude of sins. Reaching out a foot, she nudged him gently, holding up her bottle. “I have a cure for all if you’re looking for a little company.”
(( to be made pretty later ))
